Ep. 41 – In The Moment 

Too often I find myself looking back or looking forward, losing sight that the connective thread between the two is the now. Ancestors and offspring intersect in us. In this way, all time is one time. To lose focus of the moment is to ignore how we arrive and the varied opportunities we have to depart. I’ve been thinking a lot about the word “because”. On either side of the word you have cause and effect, the past and the future. When applied to the present, the word peels apart from itself to describe its active orientation – every day we have the opportunity to “be cause.” That’s to say, to be catalyst, to instigate, to weave the lessons of the past with the hopes of tomorrow through our actions “In The Moment”.  So this episode is an offering of music that embodies the relationship between time but entirely set in the now.
