Following the video release of Lamella, SFX co-label head Zoë Mc Pherson elevates their groundbreaking album Pitch Blender released in March, to new heights with an electrifying remix EP that's sure to set dancefloors On Fire! 
Today we have your first listen of Chicago artist Jana Rush's high-octane dancefloor remix of Potentials. The high-energy purveyor of ghetto house, injects Potentials with frenetic beats, chopped vocals, and irresistible grooves that are bound to get bodies moving. 
Drawing on a diverse range of styles and influences including Ghetto House, South African club music, Rave and Experimental Electronic music, this EP boasts an exciting lineup including Scratcha DVA, Kasimyn Gendang, and Jessica Ekomane who bring their distinct touch and talents to the table, resulting in a thrilling reimagining of the original album. 
Additionally,  MC Yallah and Mc Pherson also collaborate on a spontaneous rework of "Lamella" showcasing the fierce energy of Kenyan/Ugandan rapper in a high-speed tom-infused jukey-steppy rework, also released in it’s instrumental club rework version.

The artwork created by SFX co-label head Alessandra Leone is an alteration of the futuristic Unidentified Objects story, extracted from the duo’s Pitch Blender AV show, which is currently on tour.

Plasma Sources is proud to present nosync’s Soundsystem Music, an EP which provides a fresh perspective on the high-fidelity and sci-fi influenced electronic music the imprint is known for. 

nosync’s work sits in a truly unique space in the sound system/club music-o-sphere. This in large part is due to his heavy deployment of progressive metal instrumentation, from chugging walls of overdriven guitars to relentless double-time kick patterns. On paper, utilising this palette in a club-music context may seem like an impossible task. However, where others might see a chasm of disparity, nosync has deftly identified the bridge connecting these two genres, seeing in these two landscapes the same desired emotional state - despite the different methodologies used to achieve this. 

“This record attempts to make the case that the essence of what makes these sounds so obsessively loved are one and the same. Gripping dramatism and intensity are the overlapping themes that I have attempted to bring out here, through the record’s sound design and film-like structure.”

Indeed Soundsystem Music as a whole feels wildly cinematic and is as much an exercise in atmosphere creation as music for sound systems, with nosync citing the video game Dead Space and its sequel as key influences for this body of work. From the claustrophobic, elasticated wind chamber of ‘Traced’ to the broken choir voices and FiS-esque ambient abyss of ‘Dead Land’, nosync has expertly matched the pace and atmosphere of these hugely iconic and utterly terrifying video games and channeled them into a purely sonic experience. 

The metal influences nosync brings to the table slice through the entire corpus of Soundsystem Music, although the linkage is perhaps at its most clear on ‘Airlock’, which features a full-on death-metal guitar chugging through the first half. In perhaps the most surprising switch-up of the entire EP, things suddenly twist into a guttural underwater club track a third of the way through. 

nosync’s love for the vast ecosystem of club/soundsystem music also comes through loud and clear on this release, from the grime-inflected leads and hyper-detailed polyrhythmic noise workouts of ‘Unregistered Hypercam’ to the reverberated metal clangs of ‘Kauket’s Arena’ which feels like witch-house on steroids - the soundtrack to some final boss battle with some type of nightmare-demon-entity. 

nosync has achieved something unique with Soundsystem Music. By drawing together a hugely disparate corpus of influences and pummelling them into a noise-fuelled apocalyptic aberration, he has created a sound which feels consistent, fully his own, and in many places, utterly dread-inducing.

With EYX019 Early Reflex is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of "Sync Rite," the latest EP from visionary electronic music artist Ziyiz. "Sync Rite" features three groundbreaking tracks that continue Ziyiz's exploration of sound and surreal world-building.

Ziyiz, known for their cutting-edge sonics and captivating live performances, has previously released music through labels such as Kindergarten, Failed Units, and Line:156. With "Sync Rite," Ziyiz continues to push theenvelope, delivering a collection of tracks that challenge the conventions of electronic music.

The concept behind "Sync Rite" was inspired by a unique ritual observed by Ziyiz, where malfunctioning robots consumed a material known as Syndrenal to enhance synchronization and efficiency. This theme of synchronization and transformation is woven throughout the EP, offering listeners a sonic experience that is both otherworldly and deeply immersive.

The journey begins with Ashen Magnets, a tribal-infused synth dance track is a rhythmic journey that combines pulsating beats with haunting melodies, creating a hypnotic atmosphere that transports listeners to a different dimension.
Fired Water Twitches follows next, an electro-driven masterpiece which showcases Ziyiz's ability to blend robotic rhythms with electrifying synth lines, resulting in a high-energy dancefloor anthem.
The EP closes with Syndrenal a futuristic, hyper-fueled jersey club track, which pushes the boundaries of genre with its rapid-fire beats and innovative soundscapes.

Ziyiz said:
“██, located inside a cave within the ███████ forest. The ██ guides malfunctioning robots through a synchronization rite involving a liquid material, Syndrenal. Maintaining a distance is advised, due to the heat produced during the rite. Syndrenal is synthesized inside a crystalline cauldron sat atop spinning Ashen
Magnets, which appears to generate huge quantities of hot blue energy. The ██ body seems composed of a heat resistant metallic alloy, even so their lower torso has become molten and fused to the ground, presumably due to the long exposure of heat created by the Ashen Magnets. Their many limbs engage in constant movement, gathering materials from around the cave, which they place within the crystalline cauldron where Fired Water Twitches. Ziyiz observed the Sync Rite, documenting malfunctioning robots gathering around the entity. Once consumption of the Syndrenal has taken place they demonstrate synchronized movements and evident improved operational efficiency. The process appears to Sync and align malfunctioning robots, correcting errors in their programming.
The audio files presented were obtained via data transfer from post-Syndrenal Sync Rite robots.”

An Evening with The Pleasure Boyz marks the debut release from London duo The Pleasure Boyz, a collaboration years in the making between borderlandstate (@borderlandstate) and Coen (@coenofficial). Forged in the dead of night at a particularly explosive edition of Houghton festival, the two long-time friends were brought together by a mutual love of borderline piss-take music. It's fast bangers only.

Distortion (UA) @distorted_man_ua, a musician you may know from releases on Bass Water Freak Out, Yourcharacter, Polygon and Mystictrax labels (with the “Bullet Seeds” “I grow ammo, you bastard!!!”), as a writer - who recently presented to the world his memoir about the defense of Kyiv region in February 2022 in the book "Survive at Villa San Marino" as part of a volunteer battalion, a soldier who now continues to protect Ukrainian lands from ruzzian invaders in 3rd Separate Assault Brigade 🔱 

His easy and relaxed creative style, almost reflexive, hits listeners and readers as clearly as possible, evoking violent emotions. Known for his uncompromising electro style, this time, on Full-Auto Friday EP, we hear notes of old-school breakbeat of the early 2000s - something from childhood, full of music from The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, soundtracks from games like Need For Speed.
