@justineperry is a Berlin-based DJ. Attracted by the German club scene, her sets are influenced by dark and deep rhythms, bringing the public to a hypnotic experience. Setting up in Berlin, she starting her collaboration with new artistic projects like @art-bei-ton and helped those events to feature more female artists.

As part of the LGBT+ community, Justine embraces the need of getting a more safe and diverse scene, involving more women and queer artists, as well as fighting against any form of discrimination.

Established herself in Europe, she played in prestigious venues, such as @rexclub in Paris, @khidi in Tbilisi, @Griessmühle, or @tresorberlin in Berlin, as well as some festivals, like Forte Festival in Portugal and Instytut Festival in Poland.

It’s an honour to welcome Reka Zalan to the podcast series. Reka is a Berlin-based Techno DJ and promoter, resident at the infamous ://about blank club where she’s furthermore part of the booking team as well as being responsible for co-organizing the ://elements series. 

Reka’s sound can best be described as a palpable blend of cosmic and driving Techno which she pulls off with precision, luring her listeners further down the rabbit hole.

In her everyday life, Reka works at Hard Wax, a multi-faceted job that functions as the glue to what she’s so passionate about: deepening her interest in & beyond techno while impacting the experience of like-minded people for the better.

Head of the VRAAA label, both Projekt Gestalten and The Princess of
Death are the identities of Brazilian producer and DJ, Diego Garcia. A
celebrated protagonist on Berlin’s most sexually liberated dancefloor,
Pornceptual. Exploring pornography as an artform with the collective for more than five years now, their ringside promotion of events and parties globally has seen Garcia’s divergent agenda encourage and inspire its guests to freely explore their sexuality. It took to a point where a Boiler Room broadcast in partnership with the collective was deemed too explicit for YouTube before finding vindication on PornHub.

Adorning their DJ sets in various forms of white wedding dresses and
baroque embroidery, Projekt Gestalten’s sexual-kinks, queer desire and
bold feminine spirit flaunts a unrivaled promiscuity of tongue-in-cheek
tawdry that’s pushing techno music and its artistic, sexual appetites that
much further. While The Princess of Death is an introspective project
exploring distorting notions of masculinity. A figurehead within Berlin’s
queer techno scene, and diamond in the rough of ‘twenty-tens’ Netlabel
culture, Diego’s exploratory conquest of melodic, harmonic and hypnotic
sounds is starting to spread around.

Having found pride of place as an established entity controlling
soundtracks at risque nightspots and parties the world over - namely
making their way through London, St. Petersburg and New York to Sao
Paulo and Paris - Diego Garcia’s emergence from the obscure raves of
Berlin and its presiding internet culture now sees the artist, with a
burgeoning discography and remix catalogue for the reckoning, as an
out and loud center stage presence and trailblazing queer, music
identity.

A key figure in Russian techno community, Nastia Reigel started out by organizing illegal dance parties in Siberia. That tenacity and dedication later found her in Saint Petersburg, where she launched the first-ever queer parties in the city called Грань (Grahn’), the notoriety of which was soon featured in DAZED. She spent years accumulating mixing techniques and selection skills that have given her a unique voice as a musician and a DJ, along with a busy touring schedule in Russia, Europe, Australia, and North and South America.

Nastia's obsession with achieving deeper understanding of electronic music, modern art and constant development of techno sound finds its reflection in her mixes and production. Her vinyl releases 'Trust, Intimacy' and 'Disarm To Surrender' on Enemy Records demonstrate a perfect balance of artistic taste, technical ability and has already garnered support from established techno musicians. In April 2020 Nastia makes her debut on TOKEN Records.   

As a multidisciplinary artist, Nastia has written music for several art-house films, which has broadened her scope as a musician well beyond techno, to various other experimental audio and visual projects. One of them is her post-punk alias Rosa Damask that first appeared on Vatican Shadow’s Berghain Mix 09; soon after, she released an album on his widely revered Hospital Productions label.

A truly prolific artist, he has a myriad of production credits to his name having worked with world renowned labels such as Mo-Wax, Warp, R&S, Bek Audio, Ifach (with Baby Ford), Bpitch Control, NON Series, M-Plant, Material and his own label Beard Man.

It all started in the summer of '89 when he landed in Tenerife on vacation and stumbled across the delights of the emerging sounds of Chicago and Acid House. Returning to the UK, he immediately went in search of this new found music. A pair of turntables were bought and with it a musical career was born.

Mark has had a string of high class releases over the last 12 months, highlights being the Borders EP with Gary Beck & the Attitude EP for NON Series, forthcoming material will include releases on Beard Man, Blueprint, & Skam Records as 'The Fear Ratio' with James Ruskin!
