UK techno legend Mark Broom returns to Rekids in February to release four uplifting cuts in the form of his ‘Break 97’ EP.

Mark Broom’s musical career is certainly something to behold – with over 150 releases over the past 25 years, on top of regular gigs across the world’s most renowned institutions, there’s no doubting his work ethic and his influence upon the scene. A prolific artist and true pioneer in the techno world, having worked with revered labels such as Warp, R&S, Ifach and Soma, and in more recent times Blueprint, EPM Music, Red Sonja Records and his own Beard Man Records, his ‘Break 97’ EP kick-starts 2019 for Radio Slave’s Rekids as the imprint adds yet another outstanding name to its roster following the likes of DJ Deep, Sebo K, DJ Spider and more.

‘Break 97’ sets the tone of the EP with a fusion of techno and disco, delicately blending funk-infused chords and resonating kicks amongst groove-filled vocals, before ‘Heart’ delivers inspiriting disco samples, punchy low end and elevating strings to reveal an effervescent aesthetic throughout. ‘EFB’ takes things up a notch, offering a dancefloor focused cut balancing rattling highs, vibrant synth flutters and a muffled vocal line, until ‘G Theme’ rounds out proceedings armed with robust percussion, electrifying vocals and undulating, euphoric keys.

My Favourite Freaks Music are proud to present the new EP of Davina Moss & Di Chiara Brothers featuring Devon Rivers.

Lead track "All I Need" features a strong vocal by Devon Rivers, a fat bassline and a weird synth which makes this track work on the dancefloor. "Shake" also comes along with a vocal of Divon Rivers and a wobbling bassline.

With both tracks making for peak-time, the All I Need EP is all you need to make the floor burn.

Michele and Davide, also known as Di Chiara Brothers, raised on an intense and premature pas-sion for house music since the early adolescence. The taste and track selection that distinguish them turned out to be winning labels got interested in their projects from the beginning of their career.

Also Davina Moss is making waves from Ibiza and beyond. She has headlined some of the most illustrious clubs and festivals across the globe for the last 15 years and has played to crowds of up to 60,000 in Brazil, Japan, Russia, South Africa, Israel, Australia, Chile, Mexico, Argentina and many more.
Since making Ibiza her home, Davina has been seduced by the underground of electronic music, giving her music an edge that has seen her increasingly in demand performing at the coolest ven-ues on the scene. Joining the label for the next EP is underground dance music darling, Anabel Englund on a collaborative work with label-head RYBO.

Following the signature Percomaniacs mantra of “Bongos not Bangers”, RYBO crafts a percussion-focused, stripped back instrumental for Anabel’s unmistakable vocal stylings allowing her voice to carry the ebbs and flows of the track’s sub movement and naturally bouncing rhythms.

The release totes 3 stellar remixes from the likes of Berlin’s Joyce Muniz, UK’s Jey Kurmis, and Percomaniacs co-label head Lubelski. 

Joyce Muniz is no stranger deep and melodic grooves; and her remix is no exception. She brings the otherwise radiant original into an almost gloomy light with expressive pads and sharp stabs.

Jey Kurmis follows up with psychedelic flair, oscillating Anabel’s chops to a tremble over tripped out saw-tooths and enigmatic bongos. 

Finally, Lubelski delivers an 80’s indie-electronic inspired remix, carting a driving bassline, evocative chords, and guitar licks in tow. 

All in all, the release features a bit of flavor for anyone craving ‘Something New’.

Beard Man label boss Mark Broom returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids with a swinging techno focused four-tracker entitled ‘Raver EP’

Since the early 90s, renowned UK artist and DJ Mark Broom has been cherished for his consistent output of rhythmically charged techno and energy spiking performances with releases on Warp, R&S, Soma, Hardgroove and Blueprint alongside collaborations with artists such as Baby Ford, James Ruskin, Discrete Circuit and Gary Beck. ​A regular on Rekids, Broom's contributed numerous releases and remixes to Matt Edwards' label - notably last year's massive 'Break 97 EP' - and his next outing sees the prolific producer return with four more versatile club-focused cuts.

‘Raver’ opens with boomy kicks, splashing cymbals and aggressive stabs until ‘Insta’ trembles the floor with rolling snares, driving rides, distorted claps and arpeggiated synth patterns. On the flip, ‘Midnight’ takes retro sounding keys and adds peak time drive with lofi drums, distant vocals and a sleek funk line sample before ‘Hear Me’ electrifies with a tease of classic 90s-esque lyrics, bouncing toms and elated chords.
