Inspired by the post 3am vibe in a club when everyone settles in for the long haul, the drinkers have run out of steam, the casual clubbers have gone home & the dancefloor chats have finished. Only nods & smiles are needed to communicate. 

It’s a flickering, shuffling, ultra funky piece of music for the body and the hidden parts of the mind, that’s constantly in movement even as it seems to suspend time. 

It’s seemingly simple but packed with untold micro detail that only reveals itself through immersion – and it comes with a sharper-edged remix from Ollie Drummond, whose extra gurgles and swoops bring out echoes of the heyday of turn of the millennium London tech house.

The third Bank of Switches release sees the effervescent Jake Beautyman flex some serious production muscle. Self Oscillating is a low-slung late-night affair with solid drums and some sumptuous acid. A nod to the deep while keeping the energy rolling. Jake has been making a name for himself over the last few years in the DJ booth with regular appearances at fabric on the same line ups as Silverlining, Archie Hamilton, Craig Richards & Terry Francis. He holds residences at both Superfreq and FUMP and can also be found at the controls for Wiggle at venues like The Cause and MOT.

Jakes previous production output has seen him top the Beatport chart and receive play on BBC Radio One where he puts a modern twist on classic London style tech house with releases on Bombis, Household, Superfreq and more.

Flip the record for a harder edged, but no less deep remix by the one & only Steve O’Sullivan. This scene veteran has released tracks to much acclaim on labels such as Sushitech, Aku, Nina Kravitz’s трип and of course his own Mosaic & Blurtrain imprints.

Label head, Big Nick D returns with Twenty Four Hours; a harder edged tune than his previous output, but no less atmospheric. A rolling four to the floor rhythm reveals Nick’s affection for peak Peace Division, while the bubbling, gurgling micro detail exposes his fondness for Luciano & his Cadenza sound. But don’t be deceived, this record is completely Nick. His dedication to those special dancefloor moments shines through from start to finish. 

Flip the record for a remix from Wiggle founder & fabric resident, Terry Francis. Staying close to the Bank of Switches ethos, Terry flexes his remix muscles with this stripped back roller that wouldn’t sound out of place on his seminal fabric CD. Syncopated beats skitter on top of a solid bassline making this the perfect track to lock any decerning dancefloor into the groove. 

Bank of Switches’ fourth release is an ode to those who understand the vibe & what it means to be in this for life; the dancers & DJs for whom twenty four hours in a day is just not enough!
