Erebus is Greek for darkness, since this song has a very deep and "nasty" bass drop. This song begins with a very calm jazzy piano melody with some old fashioned bass. The song begins to build up as some 1980s style synths come in. Unexpectedly, this seemingly calm jazz song becomes a furious EDM banger as the drum and bass melody drops in (The serenity of the introduction fools some listeners into assuming the song has a weak bass drop, on the contrary, the song has a bass drop on par with heavy Drum & Bass tracks). Feel free to give feedback, whether it is good or bad on Erebus, remix it, or download it.

 ‘Condiments Volume 1’, is a mind rattling selection of 18 tracks showcasing some of the most exciting talents in the Bass scene. Whether it’s the G House inspired ‘Bomboclat’ by ToMix, the guttural bass of Eloquin’s ‘Infiltrate’, the down and dirty ‘Anime And Vape Juice’ by FiASKO or the spectacularly chaotic ‘Redlight’ by Vellum, each song showcases the artist’s individual skills and style. Warped samples or fluid vocals, devilish synths or bouncy melodies, there’s something for everyone. It really is a journey through the different areas of the bass music genre with elements of house and dubstep infused for good measure.

“This song started as a pretty angry demo called ‘Death, Rocks!’, written in the Izu Kogen studios during The Upbeats’ magnificent No Sleep Till Japan project. When we picked it up again in our studios we went on a strange tangent that initially didn’t seem to make sense. But slowly it unfolded into a song that wanted to be about letting go, about new horizons and great memories. And hints of jazzy disco, which of course as you know is a staple of the Noisia and Upbeats sound since time immemorial, umm right, please listen to our weird song.”
