As Afterhour Sounds, we have made it our mission to always think outside the box. So it's certainly no surprise that today we landed in Boston / USA at the afterhour there, to which Eartha Harris / Living Light invited us.

We've had the fascinating and enterprising American on our radar for quite some time now. Since her premiere "Mirrors" (https://soundcloud.com/afterhour-sounds/premiere-eartha-harris-mirror-suit-sofa-beats?in=livinglight/sets/mirror-suit-featuring-bluetech) about 2 years ago, we are totally convinced of her sound. 

Somewhere between dreamy, melodic, but always driving music, she provides the listener with constant goosebumps. Both at home and in the club. Her mixes also have a clear thread, which is reflected in their structure, stylistic coherence and a fluid groove. She herself describes her project Eartha Harris as a mixture of ethno and melodic techno. No matter how you categorise and describe it, one thing becomes clear pretty quickly when listening to it. She knows her craft. No wonder. The American has been an integral part of the local electronic scene for over two decades. She is on the road both as a solo artist and as a band keyboarder.

Besides many unknown but wonderful tracks, she has also included one of her upcoming releases, which you should not miss. Also, be sure to check out her other project Living Light (https://soundcloud.com/livinglight), in which she very successfully dedicates herself to psychedelic dub. It's amazing what a broad spectrum of electronic dance music she serves. Be curious.

Blending bold original sounds with classic uptempo genres, Harris delves into her love of global DJ culture to create a sonically unique project that in short order has garnered attention from labels and audiences around the world.
