Thrice has been one of my favorite bands for almost 20 years. I've always appreciated how their music has evolved and developed over time. Their musicianship and thoughtful song crafting have been very impactful on me as a musician. For this song, I decided to keep the drums and vocals only and then add a piano driven element to the rest - keeping some of their chord progressions but mostly changing them to add a new sound. Keeping a melody and changing the chords underneath it is one of my favorite things to do with music and this was a lot of fun to do. Thanks for clicking the heart button if you like it! ❤️
