Uwe Locati is a DJ and producer based in Berlin. He has an extraordinary sense for melodies and instinctive musical intuition. For 3 years he's been an integral part of the Ick Mach Welle crew.

“Superbrains'' is a showcase for the Berlin-based, inclusive music project Ick Mach Welle (@ickmachwelle), an initiative which has been bringing together musicians, with and without visible disabilities, for the last 5 years. Featuring solo artists and musical collaborations with very different approaches to creating music, this compilation highlights the results of the workshops and mentoring programs provided by Ick Mach Welle throughout these years. The tracks featured on this release range across the musical spectrum from the wildly experimental, to dub and electronica, to driving techno and rave, reflecting the diversity of the participants and the inclusivity of the Ick Mach Welle project. The emotions revealed through the music
contained herein provide the listener with an insight into the lives of the people who created them, people whose voices far too often go unheard.
The artwork comes from Brussels artist Elzo Durt, who has provided Killekill with his psychedelic collages several times in recent years.

We are pleased to present a track "Cyber Level" by Midnight Totem from LP "Race To Live".

After a long illness, Midnight Totem, a Rennes-based artist, started producing electronic music at the end of 2020. Inspired by Aphex Twin, Extrawelt, Muslimgauze or Alva Noto, she delivers their 3rd release, "Race to Live", for Tripalium Corp : a cassette album made of dark and immersive atmospheres, but also naive melodies. Somewhere between ambient, low-fi techno, trip-hop and electronica, these 9 tracks are about her urgency to live after a painfull childhood and a long illness, and how music saved her. She describes her dreamlike and unknown spaces in which she feels safe. She's the little girl who wanted to go back to space...

Emerging from the ashes of Ireland's early rave era - that had been absorbed into the vastly commercialised club scene of the late '90s - was an oft forgotten, but exceptionally fertile period for electronic music in Ireland. Spearheaded by the then Dublin duo of Decal (later becoming the solo project of Alan O' Boyle), nurtured through nights like Phunk City at The Funnel, Model One at Switch and at a later point midweek club haunt Electric City, an unlikely Irish electro movement was born; breeding an abundance of new labels, parties and producers hungry to make their mark. "Dreams of Electric Bleep" revisits a crucial time of development (1999-2005), when production standards on the island of Ireland rose in perfect synchronicity with the collapse of the music industry as we knew it.

While Detroit, The Hague and London heavily influenced the sounds heard in the clubs, clubs in pubs, warehouses and great outdoors of Ireland - it was producers from Belfast, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Limerick and Mayo who created the first significant chunk of high-quality Irish electro, demonstrated here over a range of styles (originally released on a variety of local and international labels). This double 12" Earwiggle release [EAR034] - featuring key tracks from Decal, Magnetize, Metroneem, Americhord, Phil Kieran, Takeover Sound, Chymera and John Braine - comes on picture-sleeved clear green vinyl, and includes a download code.
