Moskalus was born and currently resides in Ostrava, Czech Republic. He started his musical journey back in 2007 when he created his first YouTube channel where he would upload music from various artists to help them promote their music. With his second channel, he started doing music videos because he wanted to be a part of the scene, not only as a regular uploader, but as someone who wanted to express his own feelings. In November 2014, he had his first big break by making the music video for Bambounou's track "Onto This" which was released on 50 Weapons. After that, he gained a greater audience that helped him to work with labels such as: Lobster Theremin, Shall Not Fade, Die Orakel, Pinkman and Lehult. He has also had the opportunity to work with artists such as: Baltra, Fjaak, J. Albert and Benedikt Frey.
After years of listening to music and making videos for such artists, Moskalus has developed a wide-ranging taste. In his DJ sets you can expect to hear anything from disco to house, techno, UK Garage or dubstep from the golden era.

This year marks 15 years since I started my service in the online underground. Time flies when you are having fun right?! I remember when I (as non dj) heard something on the radio back then, that was just it. Nobody put that on soundcloud or youtube for you to listen to again. I was telling myself there must be more people that want to listen to some tracks over and over again. That's how it all started. Ripping tracks from radio shows, uploading some cool tracks that were hot in that time period (remember post-dubstep & future garage?),there were even a few people sending me their music to upload! The moment I started doing the video edits was life changing. Not only for me but for all the people we (music youtubers) made hot in the era of lo-fi house. Happy to see some of them rockin big stages today!

Since then, this has been my everyday, 24/7/365! Paid my dues & made the sacrifices. Was it worth it? Damn right! Though I have to admit that I never intended to start djing myself. I was forced to by the community! I am happy I sold my bike so I can buy speakers and started.

Music took me around the world. With music I met a bunch of amazing people who did not hesitate to spend their money and time just to meet the guy they know from youtube. For this I will forever be grateful!

Like 5 years ago, also this time I have a mix for you! I just wanted to put together a mix full of my all time favorite jams. The result is an almost six hour journey through different genres & styles. I also wanted to include music made by people I have some history with. Baltra, Bambounou, Fjaak, Route 8 or Kettama, to name a few (and a whole lotta more!). Expect a lot of hits! Slow jams, House, Techno, UK sound and more.

THE MOSKALUS MIX SERIES EXTRA: Moskalus (15 YEARS OF MOSKALUS 5H SPECIAL)

Electronic music duo, Dusky, proudly announce the 10th year anniversary of their revered record label, 17 Steps. To mark this significant milestone, they are set to release a special Various Artists compilation and embark on an extensive UK/EU/US tour. The announcement kicks off with the release of "Sampler 01: Floor To Floor 10 Years of 17 Steps'' featuring tracks from Scaefa, Machine Dion, Kassian, and Dusky.
"Sampler 01" offers a glimpse into the label's evolution over the past decade. This prelude to the full compilation promises to be a sonic journey, showcasing 17 Steps' commitment to pushing the boundaries of underground house and techno. Each artist featured on the sampler brings a unique flair, contributing to the diverse and innovative sound that has become synonymous with the label.
Scaefa, a producer/DJ based between Reading and Oxford, brings emotionally stirring breaks, techno, trance, and beyond to the compilation. His tracks have gained recognition from DJ Mag, BBC Radio One, Rinse FM, and more, with support from industry heavyweights like Laurent Garnier, Four Tet, Dusky, and Avalon Emerson.
Machine Dion, hailing from north London, draws inspiration from the UK underground scene, crafting a unique sound by blending electro, broken beat techno, industrial, and 80s synthpop. His contribution adds a distinct flavor to the sampler, embodying the label's commitment to diversity.
Kassian, launching in 2019, has evolved their sound from groove-laden House to leftfield threads of Techno and UK Bass. Their label Faux Poly, launched in 2022, has received high praise and support, with weekly residencies on Rinse FM showcasing their depth of knowledge and eclecticism in dance music. With tracks played by Ben UFO, Four Tet, Floating Points, and more, Kassian's impact on the electronic music scene is undeniable.
Reflecting on a decade of 17 Steps, Dusky expressed pride in the label's journey, emphasizing its role in supporting emerging talent. The anniversary compilation is a celebration of the label's past and a look forward to its promising future, with a commitment to exploring new sounds while preserving its unique identity.

Born and raised in the sunny hills of Luberon, in the south of France, Immersif knows exactly how to get hearts beating to the beat of his music. Already recognisable on the house scene, he comes to Sengiley Recordingas his four-track multi-genre release - The Creative Act EP. It's a true creative act that makes you immerse yourself in a world of sounds and emotions.

The Creative Act talks about the process of artistic creation : how we digest how our inspirations to give life to something new and personal, and the contrast between all the self-doubtness and the "strokes-of-genius-feelings" that reach us when we're making music.
Belvedere 707 - was made just after a digging journey trough the late 2010's lo-fi house era, and the chicago deep house scene from the late 90's / early 2000's. The result is a tribute track melting this two differents but very similar eras of the deep house spectrum, united by a melancholic spirit and a minimalistic approach.
Winter in a seaside resort -  as indicated by his name, i have produced this track coming back from a winter holiday break along the mediterranean french coast, in the peaceful town of "Le Grau-du-Roi", totally deserted at this period. I was driving at sunset through the empties palm trees alleys, fascinated by the strong nostalgic feeling emerging from this scenery. The result is a melancholic track, with breaky drums, dubby stabs and g-funk synths, all that through my mind when i was thinking about this memories.
Are You Still Watching -  is a story-telling track, no genres, no pre-defined schemas, just tryin to musically represent some memories, the most difficult but also the funniest exercise.

Manchester's greatest export Left, Right & Centre present a sprawling dancefloor exploration from Ghoulish featuring a potent club flip from label head Korzi.

Manchester-based DJ and producer Ghoulish makes a bold statement with his latest single, "Arc Flash." This release marks a departure from his previous work, delving into deeper, darker territories with a percussion-focused approach and tension-building tactics that keep listeners on the edge of their seats. The single is a follow-up to his collaboration with Skream on ‘IFEEL’. This most recent release showcases his ability to reach for a varying degree of sounds presented in different styles and for different settings.

Driven by chopped vocals and snappy snare hits, the track is reminiscent of inspiring artists such as Ploy and Pearson Sound, culminating in spiralling sonics that build and manifest in moments of electrifying rising and falling throughout.

Featuring a standout reflip from label head Korzi, which takes the release in a more abrasive route, layering the original elements with his signature glitchy, punchy manner. "Arc Flash" is a testament to Ghoulish's evolution as an artist, showcasing his versatility and innovation this time staying true to the Left, Right & Centre ethos - a link-up between a Manchester artist at the top of his game and a label pushing forward-thinking sounds truly making sense on this occasion.

Maestro and Tabache are great friends and met in August 2022 for the last time before Maestro left Bologna and returned to live in Germany. So they decided to meet in Maestro’s studio to say goodbye for the last time and do their first jam session.

When tabache arrived he repeatedly pushed the doorbell (track1 “Campanello”), then entered and found in Maestro’s house also his young brother Trombetta that therefore casually joined in the jam. They played all day till night, stopping just for a pizza (track 2) ordered in the “Favela” (track 3) restaurant under their house.

The EP is nothing more than the documentation of the 3 most intense moments of those hours.

It was all composed with analog instruments, some old organs, one ms-20, some samplers, Elektron RYTM and some weird synths.

As it kicks off, a peak time reverie blasts through a sultry club night in one of Kinugawa's abandoned Onsen hotels. With a fusion of pumping kick drums, lighthouse echo effects and dreamy synthesizers punctuated by a high-spirited monologue interlude, Max In The World dives deep into the uncanny pleasures of human nature.

PREMIERE: Lex - Cheque Test [Dürüm Records]

Dawn Razor and Archetech, two friends and two-thirds of the once-active trio Sonnen Blumen Kerne, have collaborated to deliver an album of tracks previously released exclusively on vinyl through Dawn Razor’s NARA Records. When Lobster Theremin ceased operations, the stock of these releases was lost, leaving only brief preview snippets online.

Adam approached HOMAGE with the story and shared the tunes with us. Moved by the situation, we decided to release all of the tracks as a retrospective album. Thus, 'Half Life' was born—a collection of 10 tracks that blur the boundaries between slammin' electro, breakbeat, and mutated bass, all with a minimalist edge.

'Half Life' will be available to stream and download from May 17th, 2024.
