The EP “OBSIDIAN EMPTINESS” by FARZÆD is not just a musical release but a statement that FARZÆD has become part of the family of the label/project SYSTEM IPSIPI. It’s an announcement of acceptance into a new community where he can showcase his talent and creativity.

FARZÆD’s words describe the atmosphere of the EP as a mixture of anxiety, loss, and suffering, where darkness surrounds and leads to feelings of loneliness and an inability to find understanding.

“OBSIDIAN EMPTINESS” invites the listener on a journey into a world shrouded in silence and the darkness of the night, where a deep emptiness of solitude is felt, surrounding like a dense fog, depriving of orientation and direction.

We are over the moon to announce Noise Manifesto’s first remix packages Edge of Everything REMIXES I and Edge of Everything REMIXES II.  We’ve got 8 amazing and talented producers that have agreed to reinterpret their chosen track from Paula Temple’s latest album. 

Starting off REMIXES I is SNTS’ dark and thundering interpretation of Open the Other Eye.  The pace is strong and relentless over the atmospheric background of the original track.  The second remix is by Zamilska who picked Cages for its “extraordinary power”.  She describes it as “awakening fear, sadness, and anxiety, but also excitement” which propelled her to produce this epic piece showing a more ambient side of power.  The first remix package concludes with SØS Gunver Ryberg’s modulated acid lines and incorporated strong machine drum patterns with the atmosphere of the track Berlin overlayed.  

REMIXES II begins with two interpretations of Paula’s techno anthem Joshua & Goliath.  Paul Mørk & Eastel transformed the slow version of the track into an epic cinematic techno piece, interweaving Eastel’s vocals.  In contrast, Ghost in the Machine pumps up the techno version of Joshua & Goliath, taking influence from hardcore while keeping the bpm at 135, and gracing us with a breath-taking breakdown.  Hemka remixed Raging Earth to be punchy, dark, and psychedelic.  The track constantly evolves with increasing pressure and a variety of sounds and notes which generates a vibe of anxiety and surprise. Slam completes the remix journey with a guaranteed club hit, with their signature filtered synth lines and 909 clap rhythms.

Containment has been a real drag on productivity for some and a real source of inspiration for others. This is the case of Arthur Perrin, better known under the name of Dykore, a well-known artist of the Lyon scene, who marks his return to the game with the release of his EP 'Damaged Nervous System'. Kaylah’s productions need no introduction so, in here you’ll find some pretty tough-sounding pair as usually The UK-based artist provides, 13 Sins sounds very epic with synths echoing in a rolling percussions madness. Quiet Riot follows with a non stop energetic supercharge, unforgiving and groovy as well! Speaking of groove and harsh sounds, on remix duty we have E.L.I.A.S  with his powerful drums progressions keeping the pace up and running and Ôneyra, turning 13 Sins’ rolling path into its darkest and most obscure of shades.

C’est depuis sa ville d’Amsterdam que Torgue balance ici une rafale de ses kicks les plus pesants, comme des obus qui tombent. Plus froid mais tout aussi incisifs, ces bruits métalliques qui concrétisent l’aiguisement des baïonnettes les plus tranchantes. La track est d’une efficacité implacable où lors de chaque break est attendu le retour du beat comme s’il débarquait pour la première fois. Un son de synthé rave finit de propulser l’auditeur dans une warehouse où trône un soundsystem crachant ses déboires.
