Today marks the 10th anniversary of what will probably be my favourite ever Plex party - PCM2. 

So please sit back (or pump your fists in the air) and enjoy an hour live set from the immense Ugandan Methods AKA Regis and Ancient Methods. 

It was only the second time they performed live under this moniker with the first being in Berlin a few months previously.

This will be the beginning of a series of archival releases from the Plex vaults which will include DJ & live sets from all of our parties between 2006-2018. They are recordings straight from the desk and bar editing have had minimal treatment applied to keep them as true to the way they sounded when initially performed on the night.

What can be said that hasn't already been about Karl O'Connor? A total legend  in the game and we had a lot of fun welcoming him back to play a solo set for Plex after previously appearing with Function as Sandwell District a few years back. This was his 2nd set of the night having played earlier this very same evening alongside Ancient Methods as Ugandan Methods.

This one was a 5am madness with a super receptive crowd and a lot of mic action from the main man Regis. He had the crowd eating out of his hand the whole way through as only Karl knows how. One of THE best sets we ever had the privilege of having on at Plex.

So this one was made public a while back via Fabric but seems to have disappeared from the internet completely now bar some kind soul upping it on youtube so let's make it right. upload a FLAC and put downloads on. I missed this Plex party as I was travelling and caught about 5 minutes of it on the phone in a pool in Siem Reap, Cambodia. This is a closing set 04:00-06:00 in the main room of Corsica Studios and it didn't disappoint.

All being well there will be a few more sets from this party released in the future, another decent Plex for sure line-up wise.

For our 3rd Plex Basement sessions back in 2013 we welcomed someone I had been desperate to book ever since seeing him play under his Sutekh guise at Sonar 2001, step forward Rrose.

This series of events saw us promote the night without announcing any headliners who were playing, a risky strategy in the cut throat world of London promoting at the time but in all honesty it worked and we sold out all 4 of the parties we did in 2013 pretty quickly. I guess those that took a chance trusted in what we were doing and who we'd get on to play. 

Seth played an incredible 2hr set on the night, weaving together really deep atmospheric minimally driven techno and building it up nicely to a more heavier latter part of his set. Another personal favourite of mine.

In March 2014 we teamed up with London crew Oscillate Wildly and welcomed New York techno stalwarts The Bunker for a 2 room 3 crew collab affair.

It was an honour to welcome Sherard Ingram AKA DJ Stingray to this one and it completed a series we coined the "Drexciya effect' after previously having Ultradyne, Dopplereffekt & Arpanet play live at past parties. He did not disappoint.

Really digged this line-up at the time and it holds up well now 10 years later imo. Up until about an hour ago i thought we only had the main room audio for this party but it turns out we do indeed have room 2's as well which is great news as every set played on the night was great so I'm sure we'll see more sets put up from this one so stay tuned.

The incredibly consistent concept of Joton's Newrhythmic, an established Spanish label founded in 2008, continues to feature a number of outstanding producers, including Bas Mooy, Electric Rescue, Juan Sanchez, Alexander Kowalski, Flug, and many more.

Sweden's Lakej is a renowned and respected artist known for his works on excellent outlets such as Slam's Soma, Adriana Lopez's Grey Report, Psyk's Non Series, Lewis Fautzi's Faut Section and Edit Select to name only a few.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Low Caliber" a strong and intense trip. Spinning hooks and morphing pulses provide an engaging soundscape of analogue edge and machine-driven beauty in the same instance.

DT:Premiere | Lakej - Low Caliber [Newrhythmic]

After a bit of time away we are back with the archival series and what better way to start it off again than with this legendary headline set from one of the most amazing people in techno, Paula Temple. Hard to believe this party is coming up to being 10 years ago now but here we are. Paula on the night delivered a blistering 90 min workout, full of texture and constant drive. I love listening back to sets like these before it all went to total shit after Covid with influencer tik-tok/IG hard techno taking the forefront and making parties and sets like these less common throughout the UK & Europe. A shame really. I'm going to ramp up these uploads as we will very soon have some news to share regarding something a little bit special in 2026. Stay tuned and we hope you enjoy this one!
