@Scotia-xo is a producer & DJ with a burning love for classic drum machines, analog saturation, and high-femme sass. A co-resident of New York's Community Rave Network party, she criss-crosses house & techno with the deep intention of a seasoned practitioner. She has performed at parties with I <3 Acid, Sorry! Records, The Bunker, Wrecked, and released music for Acid Camp and PPRZ.

This mix was recorded at Hybrid Identity (Official Rebranded) on October 23rd, 2024. @Hybrididentity is a queer-run and centered collective, exploring spaces between anything hybrid.

"I love hip hop. I have been digging a lot of it because I like the beats and it’s fun to blend with trip hop and downtempo tracks. I also work for a record collectors, who has an incredible hip hop collection and we spend a lot of time listening to all these records. Beyond the beats, rhythm & lyrics, hip hop has an important piece in the history of music and the city I live in. I am grateful it exists.

It is his techno, EBM, breakbeat and house hybrids, though, that have brought him worldwide acclaim as a much-needed voice and representation of authenticity to the genres locally. His sound runs the spectrum of bleak Detroit futurism to dark, heavy and cinematic compositions.

BL Radio EP 131: KOSMIK

A blend of organic house and afro/latin-inspired percussion, However Long brings together piano, guitars, bass, vocals and rhythmic drums to create a warm, emotional groove. I’m still exploring my sound as a producer, and this track felt special. Everything came together naturally into something heartfelt and danceable.
