Roller has been an institution for local D&B for 25 years in Perth Western Australia, they have been providing free events ever since they started this concept all those years ago. 

To be asked to compile a set and open one of the rooms was an absolute honor, I have been attending roller events for the past 12 years and I hope these guys keep doing what they're doing! because if you have been fortunate enough to attend one of these parties then you know.

This set focuses a lot around deep liquid vibes with soulful vocals, smooth bars of rhyme and additionally I tried to include some subtle influences of guitar, saxophone and other instruments not necessarily to the status quo of D&B .

A mantra to live by. Working within the hospitality and nightlife sector his whole adult life had immersed Calum aka East Side Groove within the nightlife world where he learnt over the years what it takes to create a vibrant event and a heaving dancefloor. 

Added to this with his intense passion and an ever growing knowledge of music, singers, songwriters, djs and everything in between it was almost inevitable that he would eventually find himself behind the decks and pushing play.

So back to our mantra, with a taste for all things funk and soul inspired and a love for the groove of disco and house you can expect that East Side will be keeping things fun and dancefloor friendly. 

you can trust it's going to be groovy but most importantly it's going to be funky.
