Though space provides no medium through which soundwaves may effectively propagate, it has been estimated that the greatest of cosmic cataclysms may also be the loudest events that occur in the known universe, reaching far beyond any human understanding of sound as a thing to be experienced and converting it instead into a force of incredible destructive potential. As stars collapse and black holes form, it is only the vacuum of space that prevents these cosmic roars from bellowing out between galaxies, their deafening might itself silenced only by the odd nothingness that glues all existences together.

What unequivocal havoc would occur if such an incident occurred beyond the choking grip of space’s vacuous nature? Would that a misguided scientific experiment created even a momentary and unstable black hole within the atmosphere of their home planet? In a single second, the resulting soundwave would liquefy their fleshy bodies, rend the alloyed construction of their laboratory, and heave solid earth into novel formations upon the back of its undulating waveshape. It is certain that any who came later to gaze upon such a site would marvel at the destruction caused therein, in awe of the TRANSIENT ECHOES permanently carved in stone.

MEPH makes an explosive EATBRAIN debut with TRANSIENT ECHOES, an EP featuring four tracks made in collaboration with artists including Notequal, Wallhack, and IO as he leads the latest batch of new EATBRAIN talent to the fore of the label’s horde. Within, MEPH delivers percussive sequences and growling basslines of cosmic significance as he and his collaborators sate the horde’s ravenous hunger for novel means of sonic destruction.

The laboratory had been lost within the haze that had enveloped the nation’s fall, abandoned by the scientists who had conducted their abhorrent experiments upon the abductees they had plucked from those forgotten throughout its decades of slow collapse. Some of those most scrupulous amongst them had simply terminated their tests before their flight, but many still yet languished in the agonies of their ongoing torment, their pleas silenced by the bounds of the facility that held them. As the weeks progressed, many of these unfortunates fell silent as the unrestrained experimental environments that housed them took their ultimate toll, and in the months that followed the facility’s population dwindled into nothingness - all save for two revenant souls trapped within its very core.

Borne of the most horrific trials that the facility had wrought, these twin survivors had clung to life by pure strength of will alone. There, in the complete darkness of their shared isolation, their bodies were rendered unrecognizable and their identities were stripped by all that they had endured. It was the first gentle murmur of a breeze that had awoken them from their years-long torment, a sensation that stirred within them the faintest memory of what once had been. Upon this single lasting memory, the pair swore vengeance upon not only those who had perpetrated their suffering but the whole form of life that had enabled it, and set out from the depths of the laboratory with a single aim, They stood now to return what to them had been given, to unleash unimaginable horror AGAINST HUMANITY as a whole. 

Those of the EATBRAIN horde who seek the thrill of fear should heed the call of AGAINST HUMANITY, who emerge to make their debut on the label with IN THE DARK, the first release from the masked duo that weaves a penchant for cinematic sound design within the Neurofunk rhythms that drive the EP’s four tracks in a fearsome fusion of theme and talent.

Ventex - Fight

Laser blasts ripped through the sky, transmuting the air molecules around them into white hot plasma as a melee of interplanetary warfare raged on beneath them. At its core stood a trio of humanoid figures clad in exoskeletal armor that shimmered underneath the light of this world’s foreign sun, an optical side effect of the armor’s molecular displacement shields that worked to deflect the blows of their alien assailants. It was for the singular visual sensation that their armour elicited that the trio had been given the designation “HOLOGRAM”, an elite strike team of expert warriors whose exploits on the battlefield were known throughout the galactic quadrant.

Eschewing the typical laser weaponry of galactic warfare as wielded by their adversaries, the members of HOLOGRAM unleashed the power of their unique mass-accelerator weaponry against their foes. A singularly human design born of that planet’s military history, the trio’s unmistakable armament was known for the harmonic hum of the plasma conduits that powered it and the thunderous thump made by each ultradense alloy slug that it fired. So too were the effects known and displayed on the battlefield before them, as each round tore through as many alien forms as happened to be standing along its vector of travel, boring cavernous wounds into their enemies' flesh and repelling their now lifeless bodies with the sheer kinetic energy these weapons imparted. Thus it was that the members of HOLOGRAM stood unbowed amidst the CROSSFIRE, assured in the success of their mission and all those to come.

HOLOGRAM make their EATBRAIN debut with CROSSFIRE as the storied trio demonstrate the sheer firepower of their sonic weaponry for the ears of the label’s horde, unleashing a two-part single release aptly named for the frenzied pace of its twin tracks and the explosive tonalities within.
