The icy wind howled through Edinburgh’s cobbled streets, but Ekwols barely noticed. His mind was elsewhere, consumed by echoes of a triumphant year. 2024 had been a whirlwind—conquering dancefloors across Europe, remixing Task Horizon's Legacy, and unleashing his ferocious single Hyena. He’d closed the year with We Are, an anthem for the Neurogoth movement he embodied. Collaborative sparks flew as Ekwols teamed up with Zardonic on remixes, ending the year on the highest of highs.

But now, standing on the cusp of a new chapter, Ekwols wasn’t basking in the glow of past victories. Evolution Chamber, the collective he’d long considered both a home and a proving ground, had set him a challenge: to roll up his sleeves—both literally and figuratively—and channel the rawest, most unrelenting energy he’d ever put into music. No frills, no restraint—just pure, aggressive fire—to show the world that he and the label meant business in its fifth anniversary year.

Back in his studio, dim amber light spilled from an old lamp, casting shadows across shelves of vinyl records, occult symbols, and remnants of past creations. Ekwols sat, tattooed hands hovering over a synthesizer, summoning the energy to craft a track that blurred the line between rebellion, aggression, and otherworldly elegance.
For weeks, his dark energy had gone untapped, caged behind self-imposed restraint. But not tonight. Tonight, the world would hear him roar. Clenching his fists, he whispered the mantra repeating in his mind: "Sleeves Up."

This track wouldn’t just be music—it was a reckoning. A surge of aggression and defiance against the system he believed had held us back. With brutal triplet basslines, jagged synths, and his signature Neurogoth energy, it would surpass expectations.

Ekwols leaned forward, rolling up the sleeves, pressing the first key. A distorted growl erupted from the speakers, and a smirk tugged at his lips. The beast had been born.

The creation of Sleeves Up had begun, and with it, Ekwols was ready to stake his claim as a true heavyweight within the unforgiving world of aggressive, cutting-edge sound, roaring: "Okay, let’s go!"

One day from the depths of space had hurtled a brilliant streak of light above the jungle sky, a piece of cosmic debris born of another world that fell to the surface of the isolated planetoid with blinding flair. Impacting within the dense foliage of the planetoid’s vast cloud forests, the alien object emitted a thunderous sound unlike any that had ever been uttered there before. To this, the inhabitants of the forest responded with both awe and curiosity, and from the valleys below they set off on an expedition to discover the source of such sonorous power.

Upon reaching the lost artifact, the expedition marveled at its sheer size and construction - a gigantic metal enclosure that housed a conical form of an impossibly smooth material. Stranger still, the sky-fallen device would intermittently emit another sort of thunderous sound from within its core, shaking the bodies of all those who stood before it with what seemed to be an echo of its impact upon the planetoid’s surface. To the members of the expedition, such a cosmic source of sonic power could have been brought to them only by the divine provenance of their chief deity, the selfsame who brought rains and created similar booming sounds in the skies above their home. This finding redoubled in those gathered their faith in this great deity, and with resolve to haul this massive gift it had bestowed upon them back to their home valleys below, the worship of his BASS CULT had begun.

MNDSCP debuts the first single from his forthcoming album with BASS CULT as the EATBRAIN veteran calls the label’s horde to gather before his altar of auditory expertise, preparing them for the onslaught of low-end frequencies that is yet to come.
