A fact unknown to many is that the essential biological constructors of flesh, bone, sinew, and organ share a common form and structure within the bodies of beast and man alike. Though there exists a variance in their material composition and in their function, the base layer of these structures is much the same no matter the organism on which they can be found. As such, there exists a significant opportunity for the TRANSMUTATION of these traits between host organisms, birthing chimera and bringing to light new lifeforms built upon the most successful elements of other species that possess abilities beyond those of the sum of their parts.

One need look no further than the MYTHIC IMAGE upon the cover of this tome to begin to conceptualize such ideals, though doing so may require the reader to peer beyond their own biases as to the “righteous” state of the human form. Beneath this visage and within the pages that follow are a variety of rituals and practices that may imbue those who dare walk the path of TRANSMUTATION with the scales of great wyrms, the instinct of apex predators, the vision of raptors, and the characteristics of many other beasts altogether too strange to qualify in writing alone. Within is described the path of the meta-being, one that transcends classification and becomes an entity all of their own. Should you possess the fortitude to undertake this journey, your form shall possess abilities unlike any before you. Yet be forewarned, inquiring reader, for those who lack in this all-important quality are like to find themselves reduced to the selfsame basal state on which the techniques laid out in this tome are predicated.

NICKBEE and RIVER ACCROSI’s MYTHIC IMAGE returns to EATBRAIN for their second EP, TRANSMUTATION, which features three tracks set to fundamentally alter the sonic states of any would-be listeners that are exposed to their shifting tonalities. The artist scurried through the underbelly of the great megalopolis he called home with practiced ease, weaving through underpasses, alleyways, and densely packed streetsides alike as he journeyed back to a locale he had noticed in brief passing some days before. Its aging brick facade had stood out to him, forgotten amidst the forest of steel and glass that shadowed the alleyway in which it lay. Upon surface materials such as those, the pigments he would use to ply his trade were necessarily chemical in nature, a concoction specifically brewed to cling to such sleek, smooth surfaces. Brick, by contrast, was a rarity. Its porous and often deeply weathered surface allowed for all manner of ancient organic pigments to be used to mark its surface, and as such the artist treated the mortared canvas now before him with a ritualistic reverence. 

Drawing a long thin blade from within his backpack, the artist ran its delicate edge down the length of his left arm, letting the most vital of pigments well up through the thin fissure upon his skin. Then exchanging blade for brush he began his work, bringing life to his newest canvas with the energies of his own.

MOB TACTICS return to EATBRAIN with BLOODBUCKET, a three-track EP with which the veteran EATBRAIN duo unveil their latest works to sate the sonic bloodthirst of the label’s horde.

In this uncertain world of post-truths and state actors how much of our 'reality' is controlled? With misinformation spread like wildfire, multiple realities presented by those with vested interests, and increasing use of AI technologies, where do we turn our trust for a true reality in the digital age?

'Controlled Reality' opens a new VA trilogy series for Codename: RCRDS, with several returning artists alongside a number of debutants on the label for a darker, brooding opener to the series.

The EP commences with Stringnet's brooding sci-fi epic 'The Stessa', where deep strings give way to snappy breaks and neuro style synths, marking an intriguing first instalment from this fresh talent. Codename regular Trident contributes the introspective roller 'Block IV', taking us to an unknown location far away from prying eyes, before NonRev wisely encourages us to 'Leave The City Behind' with his trademark driving grooves and deep atmospheric tones. TRC2 closes the EP with the paranoid techstepper 'The Few Left', full of warped basses and ominous alarms.
