It began with a low rumble from all degrees of the horizon, and envelopment of portentous sound that seemed to emanate from everywhere and nowhere all at once. From high above, fluctuations in the jetstream whipped the clouds into a frenzy, stretching, swirling, and blending them into a slate of blackest-grey from within which thunder and lightning began to add their voices to the ensuing cacophony. As the roar on the horizon grew, the very air itself seemed to slip and surge around the sonics that cut through it, churning it from stillness into a great gale that nipped with icy jaws at the flesh of any caught within its flow. Then, as though in a perfectly discordant concert with the air above, the ground itself began to shake, roiling in opposite motion as the second wheel of a planetary mill set to grind those upon the surface into dust. From within the fissures that scarred the Earth’s surface poured rivers of magma that made a cruel mockery of the world’s aqueous veins as they brought death to all with which they intersected and poisoned the air with toxic gasses long kept locked beneath the earth. Those who strove yet to live within this hellish world could not but hear a single voice in their minds, chiding them for forgetting what had always been known, dooming them to watch as the ENSUING CATACLYSM consumed the world that had once been their home.

AGRESSOR BUNX stand before the EATBRAIN horde as the heralds of the ENSUING CATACLYSM as they deliver their second full album to the waiting ears of the label’s faithful. The 18-track span of ENSUING CATACLYSM features the full breadth of the Ukrainian duo’s unrelenting approach to drum & bass as they meld key aspects of its many subgenres to imbue their album with apocalyptic audio energy set to inspire fanatical chaos in even their most seasoned of listeners.

A journey into Drum & Bass meanders, blending weird beats, angry bass, melancholy and storytelling with some mechanical and industrial influences. “Under The Saw” is a sad statement about the pains that anxiety can cause, while “Caspura” is an ode to the Corsica Island.“Terror Machine” will bring you in an exciting mechanical routine and lastly “Wisdom & Beliefs” will tell you a story where reality is interfered by myths.

Everyone walking the dimly lit streets of my city wears a Face. It’s all the rage after all, the pinnacle of status and fashion to bear to the world a synthetic facade not merely digital but viscerally real. Hardwired into one’s very nervous system, the Face is more than a fashion statement; it’s a legal second identity. Coming preprogrammed with all the memories of the one upon whom it had been modeled burned into the circuitry, Faces are truly one of a kind, and competition to purchase one can be fierce. Even with the profiles of so many heroes and villains of the past to draw upon, acquiring the most recognizable Faces costs trillions, far beyond their reach of any but the utmost elite.For those in the know, however, there is another option. With unerring research as well as the ability and disposition to acquire the proper source material, one can have a Face that is unique yet unknown, and altogether much more fascinating than the same Faces of celebrity that are endlessly fawned over.

That’s how I got my Face, at least. I paid the right person to exhume the body, and paid another right person to burn its memories into the circuits. I knew what I was getting to a certain point: a musician of the early 21st century, the time period wherein the line between that discipline and technology began to more thoroughly be blurred. It was that history, that experience that interested me most. I didn’t know what else I would be getting, but that’s part of the fun of Faces. You can’t just have some of the person. When you wear a Face, you get everything. I hadn’t expected the half-crazed neuroses though, the almost pathological need to create, to pull sounds from the bowels of instruments that hadn’t existed in hundreds of years which I now sought out in scrapyards like some kind of crazed cyborg pack rat. The creativity is nice, and the ability to compose I certainly no longer lack, but I couldn’t stop creating even if I tried. ALL I DO IS make music, and this Face has taken over my life.

Members of the EATBRAIN horde eagerly awaiting their next dose of REDPILL need look no further than his latest release on the label entitled “ALL I DO IS”, which features three futuristic tracks from the veteran EATBRAIN alumni that fuse the bassline brutality for which he is revered amongst the horde with the sleek synthetic textures of the ilk that have marked his recent releases, proving without a doubt that the sonic sequences encapsulated within only a single dose of REDPILL are enough to send even seasoned ears into a sensory frenzy.

Born atop the forgotten ruins of a crumbling city, a new civilization had emerged from the ruin wrought by demonkind upon the landscape that lay beneath them. Lead by their prophets of a new and powerful faith, the people of this civilization had risen up against the demon kings, wielding the magic of their divine allies as weapons with which to exorcise their being once more from the land. This war though hard fought had born fruit, and with the slaying of the final demon the people had rejoiced, celebrating their victories with monumental constructions to mark the beginning of a new and golden era. Foremost of these was the great cathedral that lay at the heart of their new city, built both as a space of worship for the populace and as an eternal ward of imprisonment for the souls of demonkind which could not be slain, forever condemning them to an incorporeal existence under the watchful eye of the divine.

Ages had passed since then, and time had once again ground its steady edge against the minds of the people and upon the stones and timbers that had supported the great city for so long. Ritual had been forgotten, and structures of greater grandeur had been built as the city expanded, relegating it’s once monumental cathedral to neglect. Thus it was that the falling of only a single candle had lit an aged timber in it’s great hall, in so doing weakening the ancient wards that had kept the demonic spirits at bay. Ever vigilant in their ceaseless desire to escape, the demon kings fanned this flame with their focused ire, nurturing it from a single mote into a overwhelming conflagration that tore at the runic chains that had bound them for so long. Before long, the roaring of the flames was augmented by the howls of demonic spirits set free from a millennia of imprisonment, their visages taking form in the fire as manifestations of their burning rage. As the inferno bellowed ever higher, the city cowered in fear, for it was clear that the time of DIVERGENCE had come once more.

EATBRAIN unleashes the full fury of their horde with the fourth installment in their DIVERGENCE compilation series, a gargantuan 26 track compilation filled to the brim with new tracks from EATBRAIN mainstays and newcomers alike. “Rapido…Rapido…Rapido…”. These were the words that echoed throughout the aluminum-clad walls of a vast underground complex populated almost entirely by beings made of circuitry and wires that spoke not in response to the utterances of the installation’s sole human inhabitant. Instead, the synthetic lifeforms went about their tasks unperturbed by the odd sounds that emanated from within the deepest portions of the laboratory wherein lurked a singular organic mind which lead the project with a fervor that could only be born from the human psyche.

“There simply must be a way to break through the barrier,” came the next set of words from within, this time contained within a full sentence. The robots noticed not, continuing about their tasks as the great particle accelerator within began to thrum with a cold electric life all of its own. Slowly, the accelerator began to draw power not only from the facility’s reserves but from the very kinetic energy of the planet’s rotation itself, a colossal source of energy yet untapped in this way for fear of the unforeseen consequences that might lay beyond its use. The machine glowed with a blue heat for a moment under the influx of all of this power, which amassed itself behind a single particle locked in stasis at absolute zero within the ammunition chamber.

“RAPIDO!” came one final shout alongside the clanging of a metallic switch being thrown with gusto as the hypothermic lock on that singular particle was dispelled. In an instant, the energy buildup behind that particle was released, sending the minuscule speck of matter rocketing through the universe at faster than light speeds that set it tearing through the fabric of space-time as it traveled.
