Mindscape provides no-nonsense dancefloor vibes with 'Brightness'. Quickly stepping things up during the intro, 'Brightness' continues to gain momentum as new elements are brought to the forefront. A hefty bassline swings back and forth as the drum programming intensifies, kicking things into full force. Synth stabs converge with an unruly cowbell to increase the pulse rate. Faint vocal-like pads stretch into the breakdown, strangely mystical and bordering upon uplifting, before crashing back down to earth with another heavyweight drop. Mindscape delivers a pure dancefloor bomb with 'Brightness'.

Together they assembled a prototype that received a good response from the testing department and several engineers created modifications of this prototype. Among the engineers who presented their modifications are: @papalayan / @double-medley / @acaled

Acaled: modified the turret, which now allows the use of 2 Utes machine guns along with the 120mm cannon.

It began as a whisper, spoken in low tones in multiple languages in the uneasy night. Talk of a place where the greatest of mecha roam, gathering amongst the desolate ruins of a war prepared for and never fought. The first explorers returned with stories of low frequency weapons, harvested from the ruined depths of a subterranean complex. With these re-engineered into towering relays capable of pure sonic carnage, the lands began filling rapidly with pilgrims from distant places, offering themselves as captives to their own higher mental states. What was once a mere whisper has now become legend, with this meeting of the mightiest clans bringing forth the greatest frequency warriors to stake out their claims. 

EATBRAIN casts a long shadow across the fray, setting seasoned label veterans L 33 and MINDSCAPE into the hordes of adrenaline-fuelled ravers alongside recent label additions MACHINECODE and AGRESSOR BUNX - all of whom have LPs coming on the label as well as appearing at the festival. A tight manifesto is stretched across the 4 rowdy and high-energy tracks that make up the EATBRAIN GOES TO LET IT ROLL, with the irresistible audio manipulative skills of Eatbrain crafted to exquisitely tear up the dance. A reflection in sound of the perfect marriage between one of the best contemporary neurofunk labels and one of the most impressive live spaces that exists for drum and bass.

In a lair of dereliction their bones lay, a place spoken of only in whispers – an unholy ground filled with the restless dead… The patient bones and rotting flesh of unspeakable horrors waiting only to feed on the living. The vile resting ground had nurtured their twisted feline forms, arching their twisted spines in death’s torment - filling them with the insatiable hunger for life… Driven by unrequitable desires to cross back through the veil of the deceased. 

Their bones trembled beneath the damp earth, full of rage and grim determination; shaking loose the soil of their burial ground… Pushing upward towards the night air and breaking free of the eternal slumber – back into the realm of warm life, full of those ready to be fed upon. Skeletal tails wove through the shadows of night, sharp incisors ready to feast on their prey, glinting in the light of the fragile moon - the Zombie Cats are stalking the night again and no warm creature is safe whilst they are ALIVE!

The ZOMBIE CATS make a dramatic return to the EATBRAIN label, following up their much-loved Must Eat EP with the terrors of their fresh ALIVE EP (also featuring SAFRA and core Eatbrain producer L 33). The duo lay down 5 tracks of horror-driven dnb designed to precisely shock and captivate the dance. Deep within the hegemonic core cluster, the brutal and deadly form of the ship Helion cruised with deadly intent across the gravity well of Arkana, the seat of the ruling elite. In its wake, the unraveling, doomed form of the defence moon Scarecrow tumbled across the planetary shore, untethered from its anchor of aeons – core breached and leaking into the vast cold vacuum. The crew stared out over the destruction, the horror of permanent nothingness at such a scale penetrating deep; millions of warriors erased out of existence by the ship’s darkmatter device in a moment with the tearing of the moon. On the surface of Arkana below, the effects were already being felt, with tidal waves towering over urban habitations, and the planetary plates starting to heave and twist in reaction to the forever-changed physics. The planetscape was contorting to a new form, its body now free from the pull of its closest moon, mindless to the destruction wrought upon the tiny beings and colonies that lay upon its surface. As death itself swept across the circumference of the orb, they observed from the safety of their superweapon high above… the planetary destroyer Helion, decades in the making and the last hope to free themselves from the tyranny of their brutal overlords - the violent breaker of their peoples’ chains.
 
Following their biggest year yet – with more than 30 live events worldwide, 14 EPs and 2 LPs in their wake - EATBRAIN enter 2017 with a powerful statement in the form of evolved entity SYNERGY (formerly Segment & Concept Vision, whose Mammoth EP was one of 2016’s most successful releases). The HELION EP delivers a heavy payload with 5 tracks of brutally refined neuro destruction from the onset, with title track HELION weaving between heavy rattling distortion and precise break insertions that evolve into an aggressively syncopated 2 step attack. WARRIOR SOUND issues an ultimate call to arms laid down by Miss Trouble’s pointed vocal and a lean and heavy halfstep futurerave beat, whilst halftime slash drumstep hybrid SCARECROW delivers a powerful wave of insanity with its heavy onslaught. ARKANA and DESTROYER pull heavy gut punches with their tear-out upbeat vibes that are certain to be ripping up Eatbrain dancefloors around the planet.
