Taken from the recent "New Patterns" compilation on NICE UP!, "Lazer Quest" got such a reaction from DJs that we thought it only right to give it a full release of its own. Known previously for their dancehall & dub productions on labels such as Mungo's Hifi's Scotch Bonnet and Reggae Roast, the Leeds powerhouse duo of Danny T & Tradesman can also turn their hand to deep and devastating dubstep, harking back to their formative years in front of the speakers at Sub Dub.

"Lazer Quest" has already blown dances apart with its cavernous dub stylings and vintage wobble bass. On the flip we have 2 brand new tracks of equal weight and ferocity - firstly the snarky "Nobody Cares" featuring a ranting voicenote from their friend and collaborator Jakey Banton, again adding some vintage era wonkiness and sounding like a long lost Coki tune. Taking things even deeper, "Acid Wash" strips things back to an almost skeletal frame with echoes Eski style synths - one for the late night /early morning crew.

Tauch mit ein als die Nacht zum Leben erwachte und der Puls der Musik das Kommando übernahm. Am 09.03.2024 haben wir das AZ in Mülheim an der Ruhr in einen Hexenkessel verwandelt, wo die Grenzen zwischen Rhythmus und Realität in schnelle Beats und satte Bässe ineinander gemorpht sind.

Ich präsentiere die Aufnahme meines Sets:

Die Nacht begann um 22:00 Uhr, als die ersten Takte durch die Lautsprecher donnern und die Luft mit elektrischer Spannung aufluden. Mit einem Line-up, das so vielfältig war wie die Farben der Nacht:

@ 1000VOLT - wie Blitze, die in perfekter Synchronizität mit deinem Herzschlag zucken.

@BRATFETT - so fett, dass die Wände zu schwitzen beginnen und jeden in einen feuchtfröhlichen Tanzrausch versetzt.

@NEUROSIGGG - höre selbst...

@ TIARE - wie Asteroiden, die strahlend die Dunkelheit durchbrechen und die Seele zum Leuchten bringen.

@ TINY - Lass dich nicht von dem Namen täuschen, denn seine Sounds, sind alles, nur nicht klein.

D-Operation Drop are a crew from Italy who gravitated around their love of bass, releasing music on labels such as Artikal, Lion Charge, Zam Zam and Moonshine, gaining support from the likes of J:Kenzo, N Type, Bukez Finezt, and Dj Madd.
