Starting to hit the limits to the number of voices I can effectively mix in a single track recording. Might be time to start splitting tracks so I can mix in post (but that's less fun).

the most "halloween" sound I've come up with in the past couple of days. new SSF Stereo Dipole filter carving up the 4MS SWN, with summed 4-pole out also running through Rings & Mimeophon. Moving things around with Batumi, as always.

Recorded the entire mix in one shot as usual. Forgot to check the level going into my recorder before starting. Had to compensate with a shitload of gain in post, so the dynamics are... not all there.

This one wound up flowing through a few different textures as I recorded. I like some of the sounds (Erica Synths Sampledrum running through Monsoon is good), not in love with some of the others (I'm getting tired of my 2HP Snare & Hat).

I'd like to get something like Frames or Catalyst for managing level macros in the mix (swinging too far and nudging to correct sounds extra bad to me). Alternately, I could get an expander and just do actual multi-track recording ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
