This song as the title suggests matches the high energy of fighting scenes in Bruce Lee action films. In this case, a succession of quick-fire flows from rap duo Skeme music matched with a killer chorus filled with bravado and bombastic energy by Nu Fvnk. The song is reminiscent of urban Kenyan hip-hop that was started by Kalamashaka and K-south merged with the 808s and instrumentation of today's modern hip-hop.

Singer-Songwriter Wanja Wohoro and East African Alternative Producer Jinku team up once again on a dystopian melody-driven ambient track entitled Enjoy the Night.

Wanja’s warm, haunting voice and repetitive guitar pattern draws the arc of the song. She addresses her inner self, grappling with escapism and the ways in which we use substances, crowds, clubs and even music to hide - from each other and from ourselves. Jinku’s vibrant production embellishes this arc with accented polyrhythms and wide spacial pads. Distorted strings create both dissonance and cohesion throughout the track, guiding the music up into its emotional peak. Enjoy the Night creates a sonic landscape that brings into the light the feeling of escapism.

El Búho aka Robin Perkins was born in the rolling hills of northern England but found his musical home in the forests of Latin America. His music blends together the rhythms, mythologies and melodies of his adopted continent with the sound of waterfalls, birdsongs, crackling leaves and a modern electronic aesthetic. The result is a dreamy, deep, melodic journey that entrances as much through headphones as it does on the dancefloor.

He has released music on Wonderwheel Recordings, ZZK Records and Antartek and collaborated with producers and musicians like Luzmila Carpio, Lucas Santanna, Chancha Via Circuito, Mercedes Nasta, Lagartijeando, Matanza and Barrio Lindo

He also co-runs global artists collective Shika Shika and coodinated the non-profit album “A Guide to the Birdsong of South America”. Currently based in Paris, France he has played or lived in Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Seoul, Amsterdam, Glasgow and more.

There is something special about the hours between 3am and 6am. This was actually the last track that Marushka managed to record at the end of a 14hour studio session. We were completely tired but something clicked and we worked on this till the wee hours of the morning. Coffee, Cigarettes and Friendship was all that was needed. 

I hope the wine is sweet, the green so dank that the laughter never ends.

Lighting in a bottle is an instantaneous gratification, this particular beat was made and arranged and completed in exactly 10 minutes. The only thing missing was the right vocalist to carry it through. 
By this point in time there were quite a few vocalists that we had worked with before. Joseph Kiwango being one of them and the top contender for this particular song but, Hiribae felt that it needed a female vocal a really delicate one to match the melody and so he suggested Wams, who at the time I didn't know was a vocalist, even more so, a formally trained one under Sauti Academy. She was really shy as we set up the studio in our friend's living room, she did not feel her voice was good enough. 
That all changed once she opened her mouth and delivered this heart tugging song while Kiwango provided a counterpoint to fully balance the story.

Somewhere in between bittersweet and a reverie, EA Wave's new song continues to establish the group's ambition to fuse modern music stylings with those of 70s post-rock Kenya.

With the aid of RnB and pop duo, Mankind, comes a coming-of-age tale, that every adult must go through - leave home and forge one's own path. The song simulates the conversation between a child and their mother, a mother's reluctance towards separation and their child's resolve to leave.

'Dala' derives its name from the Dholuo word for 'home'. A love letter to those who shaped us  and the places we are from.

That fear though comes from being afraid of being vulnerable and allowing the feeling to consume you.

Xenia croons about this feeling, set of by a gentle Sunday Saxophone drifting away like an afterthought becoming a fully realised idea, allowing the song to crescendo into shuffling snares, booming bass, and hard drums, slowly simmering back to the afterthought, quietly drifting into that Sunday afternoon saxophone.
