Ukweli latest piece has meticulously crafted a space in which Xenia Manasseh’s heart is front and centre. It's so palpable, that you carry her weight through each stage of grief - denial, guilt, anger, depression, reconstruction and finally closure. Tepid synths, minimalist beats plus a wonderfully psychedelic guitar, contrast Xenia’s tale, letting one know that no matter how dark it gets, there is always hope.
