Fierce has been an important figure in drum & bass for a long old time now. First starting out on No U-Turn at the age of 16 in the mid ‘90s, he’s gone on to properly earn his stripes, gracing respected labels like Prototype, Ram, Virus and so many more whilst setting up his own imprint Quarantine along the way. In short, the man’s reputation carries all across d&b and to all corners of its spectrum. You could call him a DJ’s DJ, or you could just call him what he is, namely insanely committed to exploring and scoring the nether regions of his chosen form. Fierce has always got material that other people don’t and he’s got an incredible knack and fusing it with tracks people know a bit better with aplomb. He really gets it, on a technical and physical level so we’re chuffed to be able to present this promo mix from him ahead of his upcoming back to back set with Zero T in Room Three on Friday 27th March.

Dylan Hilsley is a force to be reckoned with in the history of Drum & Bass. Having put his mark on the scene with an instantly recognisable sound he’s helped catapult a lot of careers through his involvement on labels such as Outbreak, Biotic, Cylon and obviously Freak Recordings.

Seeking me out as the connaisseur of all things Horsmenism (another one of those things Dylan can be held accountable for), DJ I-witness kind of challenged me to do an all Dylan mix. Scouring my collection and Dylan’s back catalogue I re-discovered a lot of tunes and behold: a new mix was born.

Returning to music after a decade long break, Daniel Dutts is wasting no time in establishing himself as a key figure within NYC’s underground scene.

Co-owner of Archivio Records, a Brooklyn-based concept record store, label and event brand, Dutts is fast-earning a reputation as a DJ of the highest calibre with his air tight  mixing and endless selection of rare vinyl gems.

As a member of Vicious Circle, Dutts had success in the 00s as a DJ and Producer, touring the world extensively and releasing on many leading labels. A residency at Layo & Mr C’s legendary The End club, plus regular appearances at Fabric and Ministry of Sound remain career highlights.

These days Daniel is in hot demand at NYC’s best underground parties, regularly rocking the floor at Public Records, Jolene Soundroom, Apollo Studio and more. London’s calling too, with residencies for renowned brands Cerca Trova and Crèche leading to recent appearances at Studio 9294, Starlane Pizza, LDN East and Nighttales.

Known for creating epic vinyl-only journeys covering the many shades of electronic music and built upon the sounds of the 90s UK underground scene that he immersed himself in as a teenager, Dutts has people talking on both sides of the Atlantic and beyond!
