Randall is a long term favourite of ours at The Blast so its an honour to have snared an exclusive promo mix from the great man. 

Randall is what they call an original Junglist, the DJs’ DJ. If you ask Andy C or Friction who inspired their mixing style, they’ll say Randall. He started DJing in the mid 80s after hearing acid house at Notting Hill Carnival and quickly fell in love with rave culture.  After making a name for himself on pirate radio and the illegal rave circuit, Randall’s career really took off with his legendary sets at AWOL and World Dance. He fast established himself as one of the elite of the emerging drum & bass scene, with an unsurpassed tune selection and an impeccable reputation behind the turntables that he has maintained to this day.  

Now over two decades since he started spinning tunes, Randall remains one of the most forward thinking musicians and DJs on the drum & bass circuit so its a huge honour for us to be able to host this mix.

Ray Keith is a British drum and bass DJ and record producer. Ray Keith is one of drum and bass' most well known producers and DJs. He is regarded as one of the pivotal figures in the early jungle/drum and bass scene. He has been playing drum and bass all over the world for the past two decades.

He had a passion for jazz, funk and soul music which led him to buy some turntables. Ray Keith began DJ'ing as a teenager in 1989 around his native Essex and Suffolk before he got his break DJ'ing on the London acid house and rave scene. He started working as a recording artist and producer for his own style of music and other genres in 1990. One his early remixes was an bootleg mix of Orbital's Chime in 1990, it was finally officially released in 1992.
He found his niche with drum and bass music. He is famed for producing bass heavy yet soulful tunes and has made classics such as the jump-up anthem "The Terrorist" and "The Chopper". Ray set up Dread Recordings in 1994 and has produced numerous albums. He has also remixed Moby, Shades of Rhythm and Moving Shadow. His nephew, Peter O'Grady aka Joy Orbison, is also a DJ and producer. Ray is a keen supporter of Manchester United football team
