AUTISTØNIC @ Techno Possession | Exorcism #095

Monochrome presents, 𝖊́𝖙𝖊́ 𝓥 : Prieste5s, Immaterial Earth Records.

This summer, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno and Drum & Bass.

Artist biography :
Prieste5s is a Berlin-based electronic musician, live-coder, and visual artist. In her own productions, Prieste5s fuses versatile influences from across the genre spectrum - bass-heavy sounds, hypnotic techno elements, breakbeats, ambient, and experimental influences characterize her sonic palette. She takes her inspiration from a variety of different sources, and is passionate
about experimentation in music and exploring the unexpected crossovers between different genres and different mediums.

Inspired by her fascination of the untouched wilderness, natural history, and geological exploration, Prieste5s’ sound is a synthesis of organic sound design and psychedelic atmospheres. Her music is an expression of the transience of experience, and the ephemerality of the natural world.

As a passionate live-coder and a member of Berlin’s Algorave community, Prieste5s has performed as a musical live-coder at Algoraves and club events alike. In 2022, she was one of two artists chosen by Brighter Sound for their From the Depths commission, a project celebrating the legacy of Drexciya and Transatlantic Exchange, in which she created a hybrid modular / live-coding live set together with UK artist All Trades.

As a producer, Prieste5s has released on labels including Black String Records, Underdub Records, Malör Records, Elements, From a Lost Place, Interlock, Madah Sounds, W133, ara -About Recording Artists, Traverse, Oslated, Low End Therapy, Aneelhi Rec, and Virtual Forest Records. She is also the founder of Immaterial Earth Records.

While Solma is known for fast-paced rhythms and psychedelic synthlines, this time he masterfully explores the slower, deeper side of techno — presenting a one-hour mix for Spira Records that drifts through dub textures and meditative grooves.

Born in Leeds and now based in London, Neurotrancer’s sound is a combination of peak-time trance euphoria and dark hypnotic sound design. Having released on @_area127_ and with a forthcoming release on Aurora Records , he is ready to present a 2-hour mix on netil as a showcase of the sounds that inspire him the most and shape his style.

The next episode is a one hour ode to the psychedelic breaks- going into a deep journey through tribal steps, dark dubbed rhythms and meditative drums. @amanita_p digged through her favourite labels to pick some of the finest mental psy-breakers- setting off for a journey in the depth of druid-steps.

Amanita is a Bologna-raised, Berlin-based dj, party organizer and scenographer. Proud mommy of Sinestesie- collective and DIY party series based in Italy, and Carpet Airlines- experimental cosy-dance oor/slow-rythms winter event series in Berlin. 

She hosts Morning Mantra, a monthly radio show on Radio Alhara where she explores the left  eld side of ambient and has fun with the most odd records digged  around.  

Amanita’s sound expands rhizomatically in a progressive & psychedelic galaxy suspended somewhere in between space and forests. With a particular a  ection for trancy rhythms and a pitching-down tendency, her music journeys are full of trippy loops, ritual atmospheres and gender-bender touches.  

Ambient, downtempo and dance  oor are all parts of the same mycelium,  contaminating each other while existing in di  erent dimensions.  She believes dancing is never about the speed of sound, neither listening about the absence of rhythm- but about the soulful depths of music, combined to the alchemic magics of the narrative process.

Israel is only the executioner, every nation which has armed that country in the past year is an accessory to that genocide, an accomplice, a facilitator.  We cannot talk about war crimes because when you target unarmed civilians, mostly women and children, we are talking about a massacre, like terrorists do, not a war. The people who orchestrated that massacre, in the US, the most duplicitous, followed by those of the UK, Germany, France, and probably a few lesser ones should be tried for crimes against humanity just as well as Netanyahu and his cabinet, because it has been going on for two years, generously reported by media of all kinds, so the enablers knew exactly how the arms were to be used, as a tool for revenge, domination, and humiliation of the Palestinian people.  The conflict has ceased to be about the defense of anything for months.

The parties responsible have made a mockery of decency, morals, fairness, proportion, or justice, not to mention empathy.  Of what little there was, these concepts will be a lot longer to come back than they were to be struck down.

I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access. You can't see it because of the angle with which I took the shot, aiming down, but beyond those blocks is the sea.  To the left is the Mediterranean, to the right is the Atlantic Ocean.  No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
