Lately, tying years of history together into a unique, balanced mix is what Alex has enjoyed most about making podcasts. This one is no different - Alex delivers a varied selection here, exploring music that stretches across time.

Active in the electronic music scene for over 20 years, with more than 30 EPs and over six albums released on top labels such as Global Underground, Bedrock, Arts, Modularz, and his own Affekt Recordings, he has demonstrated unparalleled versatility and creativity. He is currently working with his own label, Sequential Shift. Alex has experienced the evolution of electronic music personally, where he skillfully managed the fusion of technology and artistic creativity. He distinguished himself not only by technical prowess but also through his deep love for analogue sounds, rough textures, and hard rhythms. These elements, combined with a dystopian aesthetic, create a unique sound experience.

His talent as a DJ has not gone unnoticed. The ability to mix sounds expertly and connect with the crowd led him to perform in the best clubs around the world. Each performance is a sonic journey that draws listeners into a parallel world of powerful vibrations and immersive atmospheres.

In 2012, he transformed his own ideas and musical vision into a concrete project by opening his own club, Affekt Club. This space quickly became a reference point in Italy for all techno music lovers, with innovative programming and excellent sound quality. Unfortunately, like many other cultural realities, the Affekt Club had to close its doors in 2020.

The Show hosted by CURA Berlin & Shelly Booo is returning with Linderluft:

A record label that just celebrated its third anniversary, focusing on experimental techno, hypnotic techno, minimalism, ambient, and sci-fi. We also highlight the search for new talent and support them in their discovery process. It also seeks collaborations with more established artists on the global scene.

Linderluft is showcasing the Artist John Plaza.

The Chilean artist based in Barcelona is the owner and founder of Linderluft Records. His sound is characterized by minimalist percussions, continuous atmospheres, breakbeat rhythms and a search for mental journeys and movements. Since he started producing, he has released music on labels such as: KVLTÖ Records, Annulled Music, Fur:ther Sessions, BAHN· Records, The Gods Planet, Postdynamic, Inner Tension, Space Textures, Khoros,  Circular Limited, to name a few.

We can also highlight his active collaboration in more than 40 podcasts worldwide, sharing his vision of deep and hypnotic techno. Monument Podcast and The Memoir by Hypnus Records are his most important contributions. His productions have included the support of artists such as Claudio PRC, Ness, Svarog, Dorian Gray, Lakej, Alexskyspirit, Abastract Division, Len Faki, DVS1for name a few, and Remixes by  Petit Astronaute, Doctrina Natura, Save Your Atoll, Kontinum, Blazej Malinowski, Van Morph, BLNDFLD, STNDRD for name a few..

Observing the ever-changing scene and dance floor, @einox strives to resonate with the people who stand upon it. The purpose of his music is not techno as a genre itself, but rather the manipulation of the collective neurons and central nervous system of the crowd. Over the past two years, he has begun to experiment with his sound within the broader spectrum of electronic music. With the resurgence of ’90s dance music- particularly from the UK - he seeks to explore, in his own way, the particle accelerators of Breakbeat, DnB, and Jungle that have re-emerged.

Einox experiments with the avant-garde of contemporary culture and sensibility through diverse forms such as sound, electronic music, curatorial practice, and critical writing. Exploring the speculative boundaries of techno, IDM, and leftfield, they have collaborated with international labels including Affin, Semantica, and Crescent London. In April 2024, Einox was featured in Mixmag Asia’s “Artists Exciting Us in 2024.” Currently based in Seoul, Einox is pursuing a PhD in art studies while working as co-director of the art space Faction and the label GUCHUK.

We're very happy to present a 2 hours recording from our label head Hypnotic Black Magic for the 137th episode of our podcast series!

For the past 7 years, HBM has been running the event series, podcast and label Art Bei Ton and we're now celebrating our 7th Anniversary through this set!

For this 2 hours podcast, she re-recorded one of her favourite set from a very special place, where recording were not possible -- never can be as good as the original one with that magic energy of the public and the place, but the vibe is here!

Evolving between hypnotic, deep and psychedelic sounds, HBM is taking us on an uplifting trippy journey, exploring different sonic landscapes from spacial sounds to euphoric tunes. Great set to listen getting ready for the weekend ~

Hypnotic Black Magic is a Berlin and Lisbon-based DJ and producer, renowned for her trippy and uplifting sets that take audiences on euphoric journeys.
She is also the head behind the well-established label and event series Art Bei Ton, shaping since 2018 her vision of the scene through hypnotic sounds, psychedelic visuals and gender-balanced line ups.

Inspired by nostalgic and avant-garde electronic sounds since her early teenage years, HBM has developed her music taste around hypnotic techno, atmospheric ambient, psychedelic sounds and IDM/tribe. Collecting tracks with a preference for loopy patterns, dreamy pads, groovy rhythms, and trancey basslines, HBM’s goal is to drive the audience through a cathartic journey - 

On the production side, Hypnotic Black Magic released her EP ‘Passages’ on Art Bei ton in Feb 2025, as well as some tracks on some VAs. She's currently working on her first album, planned for March 2026!

Inspired by cities and dancefloors where she's lived and explored, ANNX’s unique seductive sound echos within her psychedelic selections across trance, prog, psy, techno, tech house, bass and more. 

Her distinct sound has gained her global visibility appearing on club and festival line-ups in the UK, France and Mexico including Gloria at Macadam, SinXcensura in Mexico and she is a resident DJ at Above Below Festival. 

Anna’s commitment to the scene goes beyond the booth, she carefully identifies niche sounds that are missing in the UK and has become a staple for psychedelic music on London's club circuit. In 2021, she founded Whomp, a non-profit party in London which she now co-runs with Lora Mipsum. In 2023, she started a brand-new project perspectives• with lighting designer Nicole Gordon. Most recently, she joined the Above Below music team.

The next FlowCast is a kaleidoscope of emotions, vibrating with inspiration after this singular year. Recorded at home on a sunny morning in Pantin, it flows through textured, bass-heavy, and emotional tracks. It’s a mix from the heart - intuitive and grateful.

@thaispnbng is a DJ and promoter from Paris, known for exploring textures and moods to create emotional soundscapes. Her evolving sound, dives deep into techno and textured beats with long, immersive sets that blend ambient, breaks, techno and drum and bass.

Known for exploring the liminal spaces between ambient and dance music, Thaïs crafts an environment where intricate rhythms and atmospheric soundscapes guide dancers on a singular sonic journey.

Ebbs and Flows was chosen as the perfect platform to share a side of Romi's sound that is rarely played out but holds a very special place in his heart. The recording took place in Berlin at the studio of close friend Rami Abirafi, using CDJs and Technics 1200s.

Romi has been across the techno scene for decades, developing a vision for music that spans genres and moods. Bringing it all together coherently with a focus on deep, hypnotic sounds, he expresses this vision through Kizen's consistently high-quality output, that traverses multiple facets of electronic music.  A seasoned artist and world traveler now based in Berlin, Romi has spent over two decades creating atmospheric depths with an effortless touch.
