Repose is an ambient experiment created with the intention of aiding sleep and meditation. The music is meant to replace the space in our mind taken up by thoughts anxiety and worry. 

I calibrated my instrument’s tuning to 432hz, which has indeed given it a different feel. However, I cannot say with scientific or historical confidence that tuning in that way is truly more beneficial to mind body or spirit. I can say that the long-form music contained in this album easily disappears into the background along with the over active mind. 

A field recording from the forest has also been buried within to subtly keep the listener grounded as not to float too far away. 

For those like me who have trouble with sleep or meditation, this album could prove to be a beneficial tool and an artful listening experience for other fans of the genre.

木漏れ日の中で - Interplay between the sunlight and the leaves with Secret guide

Between the stations are just strains of other stations you can barely hear. You grasp at wisps. And yet they seem to all fit together into a whole you can't quite reach.

I grasped at musical bits. Recorded takes without listening to others, without any reference. I pulled in a recording I had lying on my disk. I recorded faint bits of percussion... and removed most of it. I added far more audio processing, on each layer, and on the whole, then I normally do. My aim to was to somehow make these independent parts fit together they your mind on a quiet solo drive tries to make order out of noise.
