Ebony Speaks is a spoken word poem written to express the unacknowledged struggles of being a black woman in today's society by the very men we advocate for... Black men. My inspiration for writing this piece stemmed from my very own experiences and feeling of being unprotected, unappreciated, and unacknowledged.

This single mother of two uses a pen and notepad to open her heart and expose it to the world, leaving listeners in aw of her transparency. She says, "The world was created in color, but we choose to acknowledge only black and white."
