This track has had quite the journey since it was finished back in June, but honestly, it's been a good way to wrap up the year. There were good but also disappointing circumstances. Even then, disappointments still help a person learn and grow, always giving an opportunity to flourish.

december is a pretty rough time of year for me personally, and on top of that, i've been struggling with self-confidence issues and burn out over the last couple months- i went through a bit of a dip a couple days back and since then this came out of it. it's kinda nice, and its the first bit of music ive felt properly connected to in quite a while, probably since lavender, and thats nice. 

this is a bit of an impulse post and im still deciding whether or not ill put it up for distro, ill probably decide later on tonight.

i hope if ur reading this that you've had a nice holiday season, and if it hasnt been that great for you, know youre not alone and that i hope the new year brings you all the luck and joy you deserve, and then some more on top <3

Struggler is written about a sort of cycle I go through a lot, and trying to break it, but failing.
I always end up falling into slumps of creative block, and I always try way too hard to get out of it, and I always end up feeling horrible.
This song is also indirectly about me and my new alias, with some lyrics specifically referencing and responding to "To Disappear" which was a very difficult song for me.

As for this new alias, there's a full post on twitter, I'm sorry for deleting everything so suddenly, it was a really silly decision. "Rapture" will always be available on bandcamp for free.

The mixing is definitely intentionally a little messy, the vocals are a little quiet on purpose, I really enjoy the sound this song has, but I can agree it might not be for everyone.
