Finally Michel de Hey + M.I.R.K.O. returrn to HEY! with a full release.

When Michel once played in a sexclub, the vibe was so intense everybody threw their clothes off. Michel joined in but kept his shorts on due to religious reasons.
While shorts in the booth should be the correct title of this ep, "Naked In The Booth "  seems to catch the imagination of most people more. Musicwise this is a percect hybrid between club and festival techno.
Via a contest HEY! found a superswinging remix by Maxime Johnny. Over 150 remixes were turned in, but his mix was by far the winner, definitely a name to watch in 2014. He will also make his debut on the next HEY! event in Air Amsterdam next to The Martinez Brothers and Michel.

"Some Change Please " is a track for the special moments in the night, where every record that you play seem to hit all the right buttons. It's simply a track that's definitely needed on some nights where you want bring something different....this is the one to play!
Smooth, sexy & melodic, it is all in there, all in all, a very memorable track.

On remix duties Dutch hero Pitto came up with a Sterac influenced remix, full of furious synth stabs. Perfect for clubs, but also for the big techno rooms.

The newest Hey! hero is Ferreck Dawn. After releases on Material, Toolroom and Nervous, 3 of his tracks found their way to Hey! 'Back and forth' was picked demo of the week for Michel de Hey's radioshow Hey! Muzik. After that it became a trademark record for Michel in his sets and the next step was searching tracks for a full release.
And that was an easy mission. 'Mine' is the perfect hybrid between the Ukhouse sound of Dusky and Huxley mixed up with Ferreck's own groove, works like giving a red bull to an infant (please do not try this at home!!!!). The 3rd track of this release is 'Mumbling', which has the perfect house groove and sounds like spring, sunny and bright! All 3 tracks are an Aside by itself so again a superstrong Hey! records release.

Ferreck's previous releases 'Kabeya' and 'Tattoo Girl' both reached the Beatport top 10. His latest release 'Love too deep' currently resides comfortably in the Beatport Deephouse top 10.
With other tracks coming up on Toolroom and Positive music and gigs in Romania, United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain and Sweden and of course Holland, 2014 is already shaping up to be an excellent year for Ferreck!

HEY! is back in town again! Gone with the summer, on with the new releases, starting off with Mulder. After doing some great music for Intacto, Defected and Get Physical together with Wouter De Moor, Mulder returns to Hey! Again. And it is a big 4 tracker. The aside ‘Release Me’ is the one to heat up anyone or anything, even polar bears. It’s a Detroit techno track with a sniff of early Steve Rachmad. Playable in house and techno sets. When you hit back home again after hearing ‘Release Me’ in the club you can put on ‘Sunday Morning’ so the party continues at your house. Wouter De Moor (Pokerflat, Rejected) made a smooth remix you can’t resist. Mulder also just finished his new live set during which he is drumming along with his music. You can watch him celebrating his new release in cool places like Tanzhaus West in Frankfurt, Salon zur Wilden Renate in Berlin, Rave On Snow in Austria and Hey! ADE in – obviously - Amsterdam. In the summer of 2015 Michel random clicked some of the thousands of promo’s in his mailbox.. One of the tracks was the Warehouse by Eddie Niguel. From that moment Michel and the Warehouse were like soulmates, BFF’s, lovers.. Every primetime set he played the last 9 months contained this special track. And the crazy thing was.. No one ever heard about it! 

Another coincidence occurred when Eddie saw a random Instagram movie of Michel playing his track and decided to send him a message to thank him for his continues support. It was a hot summer evening on the beach and after a bottle of wine Michel decided to reply and ask him for the parts to make a own edit. As Michel is evolving in a studio beast lately it didn’t became an edit, but a full remix with some new piano, strings and a kick that hits you harder than Mike Tyson in his best days. To make sure the record would be a succes Michel asked his long friend Taras van de Voorde ( suara/rebirth/ec records) to do a smooth ‘Taras’ touch to finish the track.. And not without result! And to complete the puzzle HEY! records was rebooted after a year of silence where Michel was focusing more on making music, resulting in  a release for Joris Voorn’s rejected records, and a release on the all mighty King Street Records.

The puzzle is complete.. This remix was tested (and changed) for more than 50 times and for sure will be the anthem for many other DJ’s in 2016! And watch out for some new HEY! releases coming to your speakers soon!

Holland’s HEY! Records is on a roll, following up the hugely well received Michel de Hey EP earlier this year with a new release featuring music from the label boss & associates. Those associates are Italian maestros Richard Cleber and Enzo Tucci who collaborate with Michel on the opening track and new boy Chris Stussy who seals the deal with a standout remix.

Inspired by Michel’s DJ sets and hearing him play some of their tracks, this Italian pair asked if Michel was interested in working on a project together. A track then went back and forth and the final result is the excellent ‘Point of No Return’ heard here. Another track Michel, Richard and Enzo made will be released later via Crash Records in Italy.

The top ‘Point of No Return’ track itself is a big and bouncy house cut with airy drums and fulsome hits demanding you get up and dance. Smeared synths bring some soul, wordless vocals add that key human element and the whole thing brims and bristles with feel-good vibes.

Also on the EP is a fantastic remix by hot new production talent, Chris Stussy. This guy is taking big steps into the world of house with releases on labels like Large and Nite Grooves to name a few. Later this year his remix for Marco Farina is also coming out on this label, but first this banging take on ‘Basic Eggs’ makes a real impact. It has a fresh US house groove and thumping kicks that drive it along, while a loose, elastic bass line really brings the funk.

This is a buoyant house package that really will bring a fresh house party feel to any DJ set and marks another high point for the always excellent HEY! Records.

After a long time away, Floris Regoort a.k.a. Rauwkost is back on HEY! Records with a versatile three tracker.

The Dutchman has been in fine form recently with EPs on labels like Spagat and Raw Trax and always joins the dots between big festival sounds and stripped back warehouse beats. He has done so since 2012 after previously working as part of a duo and plays everywhere from Watergate to Awakenings.

The first fine track here is ‘Dust’ and sounds a lot fresher than the name suggests. Sure to get any dance floor moving, it has chunky, heavyweight drums and solid hits demanding you move as warm chords add that all important sense of warmth and soul up top.

The second track ‘Getting Higher’ has been played in boss Michael de Hey’s sets for the past two years and was one of the highlights during his appearances at Space Ibiza, Extrema Outdoor and Toffler to name a few. It’s a loose limbed and funky jam with great jazz melodies, energetic stabs and freeform percussion that bring plenty of fun vibes to the floor.

Last of all, ‘Nip It’ is much deeper and more serious, with a tightly knotted minimal house groove, lithe synth lines and gurgling bass and drums really making for a moody and involving rhythm full of menace.

This great EP is a welcome return for this fine Dutch producer.

Michel de Hey’s essential HEY! Records is back with another brilliantly club focussed two tracker that features an original by Tom Zeta and a remix from the bossman himself.

Tom Zeta hails from Maastricht but lives in Rotterdam. Already this year he’s served up a huge EP on Diynamic Music that showcased his melodic and elegant tech sound. He is a skilled drummer with formal composition and music technology skills and puts all that to good use, next to his on going love of synths and hardware. He has a live show that is utterly mesmerising and has big support from the likes of Pete Tong and Joris Voorn which will surely only continue with this new track.

Entitled ‘Move and Sound’, it is a terrifically tense offering with nimble synth stabs and pressure building vocal loops. It’s a cut to bring real energy to the party and will get the floor on edge and raring to go. As it rolls on, the hands in the air chords grow ever bigger and never let up, making it an essential weapon for all DJs and dancers.

Next to running this vital label, Michel de Hey has appeared on the assured likes of King Street and Ovum. Now in remix mode, he reworks the original into a supple bit of bouncing techno with rubbery drums, hooky synth motifs and an alien feeling that really stands it out.

These are two devastating tracks design to make a huge impact in the club.
