Aussie beatmeister Osmosis Jones gives us three bobby dazzler garage slammers, served filthy rich, soulful and illmatic in that order. You can vividly picture the flashy mofo MCing on the title track, as gold-obsessed lyrics slither out of him atop a tech-house bassline and light conga percs. “Sound of Da Underground” flips the energy, sampling the raw pipes of a wordless soulstress above dropkicking drums and a low-end bounce. To close out, “Hellraiser” takes you to the subway rattle, scurrying rats and snarling Bronx MCing of old-school New York with a skippy bump ‘n’ slide groove. Big plays incoming.
