Producer Eddie “ECee” Comerford of EC Productions, Inc. does a great job in creating eclectic collaborations on the ELEMENTS band project such as with “Keeping It Real” which offers a classic smooth jazz introduction to the project. Sounding a little like early Paul Hardcastle, the song is radio friendly and being currently played on many terrestrial and online jazz station playlists. Jonnie Kent created the beats, the grooves, the melodies and the arrangements in this mid-tempo bob your head kind of smooth jazz rhapsody.

"Keeping It Real 2" - Featuring Johnnie Kent - Elements Band 2

One of the baddest, not yet well known bands in the land has done it again with ELEMENTS Band 2.  The jazzy part of the CD is smoking from the first cut, “New Things” featuring saxophonist extraordinaire Gary Harris and the second cut, “By Your Side,” featuring big band trumpet man Joe Gransden is pretty hot too!  All the way to the funk/jazzy tunes, “Jam Nasty” featuring Toby Meeks rapping and “Booming – Jazz Meets Funk,” this is an eclectically arranged production.  Even the cover artwork is funky indeed as it was orginated by Ronald Edwards of Washington, D.C. who designed several of the Parliament and Funkadelic album covers. 

This eclectic ELEMENTS Band 2 production features several international music talents from some of the greatest bands of all time like: Chet Willis on guitar (Ohio Players), Mark Bynum on keyboards (The BarKays) and Grady Thomas on vocals (Parliament-Funkadelic).

Elvin Mason is the Prince of this ELEMENTS project by playing a variety of instruments on several of the other selections on this CD. Randall Rivers offers his unique guitar stylings on many of the tracks and sounds unpredictably different on every tune he’s playing on.

Overall, the ELEMENTS band project is a grand showing, funk jazz party by producer Comerford that seamlessly merges technical acumen with vision, ear capturing compositions and enough diversions to sustain interest on a continual basis.  The ELEMENTS band project is nice. Listen and you may be inclined to agree!
