Jermaine “EchCity Main” Burney’s catalog is a rich experience with a sound that suits a range of genres. The influences of 90s hip-hop and old school R&B creates a thick texture and rhythmic intensity that captivates the listener. What began as a hobby during his teenage years, soon became an outlet for a story he was desperate to tell. Working with many local artists in the Denver metro area of Colorado, his sound and his message divulged into a symphony of loss, pain, struggle, but ultimately promise for a future many in his circle would never see. 

As he grew as an artist, he became more sensitive to the influences of Nas, Just Blaze, Bryan-Michael Cox, and 9th Wonder. Drawing from his West Coast upbringing and his appreciation for an East Coast sound, Jermaine learned how to craft a melodic fusion that cannot be easily defined. When working with artists, Jermaine’s highest aim is to assist musicians in finding the sound that fully encapsulates the message of their project, and to bring a harmonic partnership between music and lyrics.
