In July 2016, terrorists stormed a restaurant in my neighbourhood in Dhaka, Bangladesh. A family friend was among the hostages that the terrorists murdered. I composed and recorded this song, inspired by her. Helping others, capturing the group's attention with ease, laughing and singing in the choir with my mom- this is how I remember Claudia.

I was commissioned by Bangladeshi comedian Naveed Mahbub to pen original works to be used for the Naveed Mahbub show, a comedy/talk-show similar in delivery to the Late Show, the Tonight Show, et al. A first in Bangladesh. I played, programmed and mixed everything. Up to this point, I don't think there was any score like this made in Bangladesh, but don't quote me on that!

I wrote music for a documentary on the Bihari community in Bangladesh. I played piano and worked with a tabla player and a singer of Indian Classical music. The film was never released, unfortunately, but I still have the music recording sessions!

One of my first collaborations with Bangladeshi film director Oniket Alam, the Professionals starring Aref Syed is a short film about a labourer who, after coming upon hard times when a work-related accident robs him of his ability to walk, must learn to re-build his life again.

This was a soundtrack I wrote for a docu/info-film in 2015 about the end of the Proshar project in Bangladesh.  I had to finish this relatively quickly as I was in the middle of two other projects and a few days away from starting an MA.
