These two songs are an homage to the forever interesting and tragic story of Medusa and her slaying by the hero Perseus.

The first part finds our hero sailing to the island of Sarpedon, where Medusa has been banished. I wanted to capture a feeling of sorrow and fear, as we know the ending fate of Medusa. But for Perseus, a task that no other has ever completed is in full motion. Will he die? Will his King have to send another hero after him? The stress builds.

The Fight is a track that captures the final battle. I wanted a 3 beat feel, with other syncopated arpeggios and rhythms to give it a dace-like structure, as I feel a fight is a sort of dance. Again, the stress of the battle is represented by noise, which builds until the finale, when the Gorgon is slain, and also free from her spell. In my opinion, her death becomes her greatest achievement, and her greatness follows.

A solo synth project aimed at creating strange and dance-able electronic music. I try to avoid digital hardware and software in my music production. No computers have been used in my recordings.

I use a MicroKorg, a Korg ms-20 and Prologue, a Moog Little Phatty, an Arp Odyssey, a Roland RS-09 and SE-02, a modulated Yamaha PSR-47, an Arturia DrumBrute and BeatStep Pro, a Korg Volca Beats, an Akai XR-20, analog and digital FX all recorded onto a Tascam 8 track recorder.
