Lily Dance is actually one of my favorite compositions. Shortly after composing Serenade the Wolves, I wanted to create a bridge piece and go into the Praise the King Trio. I thought this was one was so pretty though and decided to let it stand on it's own.

One of the many pieces I composed back in 1999. This was actually inspired by a video game I was playing. There was a scene where royalty walked into the room and I really did not like the music in the game. I though, "I could do better", and decided that I would compose something better.

This was originally called the pizzicato concerto because as a double bassist, I found that a lot of music was basically support, (and I love playing pizzicato), so I wrote this to be a double bass solo accompanied by an orchestra, (which made it a concerto).

However, a friend of mine, (named Madison), convinced me to make it a more traditional piece, so even though it's technically no longer a concerto, I kept it in the title, and named it after her.
