iPad semi-improvised piece.  Written, performed and recorded in 6 hours.  Minimal overdubs used - max of 3.  Gear:  iPad 2, iMS20, grainscience, sunrizer, harmonic dog multitrack DAW, audiobus.  This track is a little darker, and less beat orientated than my other tracks.

An experiment - trying to do something without beats using a drone as the foundation of the track.  All iPad generated - this time using animoog/iMS20/harmonic Dog multitrack.  Output to audacity for finalising.

Like all of my tracks it's semi-improvised and time limited to 6 hours from gear switch on to output to audacity.  I also limit overdubs to 4 tracks  -only 2 on this one.

All of my tracks are time-limited - 5 or 6 hours from gear switch on to finished master for this one.  iPad used to make the music - audacity to master it.

I like the mix of machine beats against the human failings you get in improvisation in the melodies and atmospheres.

All of my tracks have a pre-programmed element - in this one the sequencer line - which I improvise over.  I time-limit tracks to a few hours from gear switch on to completion, and use no more than 4 overdubs.
