A VIRTUAL JAM with David Gilmour...
SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND, PTS. 1-5. 
This tune always touched me deeply. I heard it first in 1976. It opened and expressed all the pain I have felt — personally and then during my years as a medical student, feeling with suffering patients. Later I read about the background and noticed that there is also so much consolation, especially in the refrain. I love this composition. 

But I never thought that I might be able to add the voice of my guitar — and talk virtually, invisibly with David Gilmour. I am so thankful that he and his band colleagues from Pink Floyd have brought this beautiful piece of music into the world. Thus, here is my spontaneous recording, done with an iPhone and my tiny Spark Amp Mini. As usual, both the original track and the guitar signal come through this wonder cube. The sound has been edited with Logic Pro.

I hope that my jam with an original track will not hurt the copyrights of Pink Floyd.

I dedicate this track to all the people in Israel murdered by the terror of Hamas — and to all those unguilty humans and living beings tortured from the craziness of evil power and politics. There is so much suffering in the world. Stupidity is the most easy thing to produce because idiots don't want to learn.

Memorial day 2024 for the victims of the holocaust. I dedicate this track to the memory of 6 million children, women and men murdered by German Nazi idiots. The music is sad — and at the same time the music shows hope and joy. If we cannot feel hope and joy, and if we don't stand up against cruelty, the stupidity and evilness of despotic people will go on — creatures having no phantasy, no intelligence and no will to learn how to develop a peaceful world. 
I try to bring in sadness, memorizing & respect in combination with power, hope and joy. Let us realize that despotic people are living unsatisfied, anxious and without humor.

What are some good news: 
First, I am so glad that, after decades, I finally manage to play some faster runs. I never have been able before. "Suddenly" they appear in my hands. Second, I notice that more melodic elements, even some melodic lines, shine up from my guitar. 

I thank again all my teachers who have opened my mind for chord progressions and their scales. I didn't look into the informations of this jam track, played completely by my ears.

Recorded with a tiny Spark Amp Mini and an iPhone, sound edited within Logic Pro. (Yes, a real tube amp and a studio recording would sound much better — but it wouldn't be so easy to record sitting at the kitchen table…).

We don’t need much. But we need empathy, beauty and a loving view. I try to express that in this small track. Two guitars played at Christmas time 2024.

I wish you a peaceful time, whatever you may believe. Here I share with you my current feelings about this time and our station in space, called Earth.

I think we all need calm, truth (i.e. also education and the chance for a clear thinking), love and beauty. Thus the track is named WHAT WE NEED.

I recommend EARPHONES, since it is a simple recording…

Try to estimate and enjoy your days even if they might be hard.

What We Need_25.12.24

A Deep and Sad Slow Blues backing track recorded by Sebastien Zunino challenged me at Friday evening. After listening 38 hours this week at people fighting for a better life it helped to express their and my feelings in these crazy times. Now I am balanced again. Blues is the helper…

Recorded with an iPad in the kitchen. One take, no corrections (some wrong notes…). Amp: Spark Mini. Guitar: Vintage guitar, made in Vietnam, Model "Summer of Love", developed by Thomas Blug. It produces a phantastic sound for a sensational price. 

Important hint: Please excuse the mistakes caused by Bluetooth transferring the backing (unfortunately, it disturbed the solo work). But a song similar to this will be recorded again with studio and tube amp sounds…

It was deep in the night, the next day would bring my last working hours before a break of two and a half week. Thought about the Blues and found this backing track by Quist in A Dorian Mode

Couldn't resist, fetched my guitar made by Vintage factory and the Spark Mini, sat down in the kitchen and played this track. One track, no corrections.
I liked its atmosphere even with mistakes. Hope you can enjoy that small piece of music.

This is a short Rock theme played via my new Spark Amp 2, recorded with an iPad. Backing track by Jam'in Backing tracks. No corrections, it was played in one take. Only the sound was a bit enhanced with Logic Pro (Equalizer, Reverb). Guitar by Vintage Guitar, designed by Thomas Blug. 
My deep thanks go to Thomas Stratmann from Stratmann Guitars, Hannover. He worked over and improved the complete fretboard, the saddle, changed the mechanics and brought in a fantastic setting for all the components. Now this guitar sounds great.

I am Blues oriented, but open to other musical styles. Of course I like B.B. King, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Luther Allison, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Winter, the early Eric Clapton with Cream, Bob Dylan, SRV, Jeff Beck, Gary Moore, Angus Young, Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC, The Stones and The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers, Dire Straits, Tony Joe White, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Tina Turner, Ella Fitzgerald, Beth Hart, Joe Bonamassa, Dan Patlansky, John Mayer, Pat Metheny, Prince — and Lou Reed. 

Until 2017 I played with two bands: A band in Hannover, since 2007 (BH). This work has been finished in September 2017. 2017-2019 I concentrated on a Blues Band in Hameln (WINTERBAND), a Reunion of an old band from the 80s, started 2016/2017 with 3 former and 2 new members (BBH).

All other tracks are Solo projects and have been recorded by me alone or together with friends in a studio (Anca Graterol's Frida Park Studio, Hannover).

In the future, I want to write and sing more own songs. First ideas and recordings you can find here. I am eager to finish some tracks.
