This song is about a time when I was in-between important stages of life. I was falling in love w my future wife, in a band that was at its apex and hesitant to leave my bachelor lifestyle. Plus, I felt like I was going nowhere career-wise.
The "taking the advice of restless demons" really describes this time for me.

The events of the Covid pandemic left us all shaken. Some wrote songs of hope; my heart said otherwise. After all, this was written in the early months of 2020. 

The spoken voice at the beginning is an evangelical speaker with the expected Eschatological “we brought this on ourselves because of our sin, “perspective.

Now in 2022, on the other side of this pandemic, the world still suffers, albeit in unexpected ways.

Dedicated to all those we lost and those left behind in this global tragedy.
