Take any modern-day, multi-platinum-selling band and take away the drummer. Then, lose the keyboardist. Now eliminate the bassist. What's left? In most cases, just two guys and one guitar -- and that's just how Rick & Nick Buttacavoli have learned to like it. 

The brothers and songwriting partners began putting their most personal feelings to music in early 2003, once Nick had taught himself the basics of modern rock guitar. Using the melodic and innovative riffs he created and lyrics stemming from nearly a decade of stanzas scribbled in Rick's private notebooks, the two set to work and recorded a handful of raw demos that would go on to inspire enough material for a full-length album. 

The more the brothers worked together, the less it seemed like work, and the ideas flowed as freely as the alcohol they each consumed to deal with the pain of their respective failed relationships. That union of booze and regret served as the backdrop for their most recognizable song, "Up Comes Love," which immediately caught on with friends and even casual listeners who heard them perform it on the streets of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. That 4-minute rollercoaster of an anthem for wronged men everywhere saw the fusion of the brothers' musical and songwriting styles and created a sound unlike any other.

After a brief hiatus, during which Nick continued to master the guitar and Rick reached even deeper levels as a songwriter, the brothers are back in the studio re-recording their early songs and working on new material, with their first official release on LooseStool Records set for 2014.
