For this month’s Tiger Tape we chose to invite the mysterious @j-a-z-1 who also has more than one deadly punch in his record bag. 

A very prolific digger & edit maker who has appeared on a few labels such as Passport to Paradise and Pinchy & Friends amongst others.

His musical universe is one not to miss, he dug up some of the most obscure 80s cuts and made them accessible and DJ friendly for all. 

You’ll be able to get the gist of it after soaking up this beautiful.

Mix of the Week #443: Dawn to Dawn - The Voice of Twilight

For the 4th Early Sounds Recordings party we're happy to invite Zurich scene animators Lexx and Kejeblos (Phantom Island) together with DJ SCM, hosted as usual by Pellegrino 🎈

Lexx
 is  respected connoisseur DJ, earning a place among the clubbing greats in Switzerland.  
As an extension of this, he launched the Phantom Island label with his friends Kejeblos, Ron & Tobi in Zürich.
Storrer’s soaring house productions and edits have a distinct yearning for harmony. This is music with a certain quietude, a shimmering quality.
But Storrer’s peak-time sets in clubs are perhaps the most revealing. Cavorting between disco, dub, house and electro, he weaves intricate narratives that are full of surprises.

Kejeblos
 is a man of big taste. A man embracing the wide. Cleverly exhibiting Swiss Afro Boogie gems, Japanese minimal classics, Post-Bossa or subtle Chicago House, this DJ from Zurich could easily write a doctoral thesis about the art of record digging. A resident of Zurich’s club Zukunft and co-founder of Phantom Island Records, Kejeblos belongs to that invincible circle of friends, whose members CCO, Wavetest and Late Invitation are doing the wickedest Chicago House in Liechtenstein, sorry, Switzerland.

Also known as Tony Pianola, he runs WATAJ Recordings where he releases his particular blend of italo-disco and organic house cuts with an original exotic flavour.
An Early Sounds friend and part of the Berlin family, From Palermo with love.

Pellegrino
Pellegrino is the man behind Early Sounds Recordings and Early Distro, from Naples to Berlin spreading mediterranean vibes. 🌋

We are looking forward to welcome our very first guest for the Radioshow - Ty Abiodun!
You might already know him from his brilliant mixes for Dream Chimney, NTS or others. Nevertheless we thought a guy with such a fine music taste needs to get even more occasions to play some records. So it felt quite natural to ask him for this recording.

The music Ty plays for this show could have been imported directly from paradise. It contains many hidden treasures (at least for us) from all kind of genres.
While listening to the selection you might mentally drift away under a palm tree on a dreamy windy day by the sea. Enjoy it!

eclectics is an independent record label & collective that is interested in what connects things rather than what divides them, be that music or people.

The collective, which began in 2015, has many facets to it, but the ethos behind it all is inclusiveness and creativity. The label launched in 2017 and with 22 EP’s released to date, plus a compilation and a number of edits, they’ve collaborated with some amazing artists over the years and have lots of exciting new projects in the pipeline.
