Melbourne based producer GREETINGS heads up Boots & Legs – an Italo focused label whose aesthetics float somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow – releasing records from Furor Exótica, Kayroy and more, and now he readies his Running Out Of Steam debut with four house and electro-fused dreamscapes.

Staying true to the label aesthetic of blending killer club grooves with introspective atmospherics, ‘ALONE’ is a cut of trance-licked house, M1 chords providing a disco-ball euphoria across the minimal, yet vibrant, soundscape. ‘Desires’ sees GREETINGS blend his admiration for Italo into a heavenly, 80s pop-ballroom experience designed for when the lights go on.

The B-side brings out the producer's electro influence; ‘That Was A Weird Summer’ is as Italo as it is otherworldly – a sound similar to what might be heard if aliens discovered disco – before ‘Don’t Die Wondering’ closes the curtain with a cut of stirring and transcendental analog-electro that's as rough as it is smooth.

Max Essa completes a trio of terrific releases on Hell Yeah with The Great Adventure EP. It's packed with more grown up dance floor dynamite and later in the year will be collected together with the
first two parts to make for a full album.

By now you will know that Essa is part of the UK's Balearic mafia.
He's served up big tunes on Is It Balearic?, Aficionado, Music For Dreams, Jansen Jardin and his music always acts as a sonic raft that floats you out to sea and leaves you bobbing up and down in a state of pure bliss.

Opener 'Tombolo' starts as acoustic music and the sound of a muffled
crowd but soon awakens into an uptempo affair littered with toms,
guitar licks and claps that are driven by bumping drums. There are
elements of old school, Italo and classic house but somehow it feels
completely new and fresh as it takes you ever higher.

'The Great Adventure' is masterfully sun kissed disco with crisp 80s
drums, love struck chords and a yacht rock feel that is pure joy,
something like topless dancing with sand between your toes and
umbrellas in your cocktails.

Closer 'Fool in the Pool' sinks into gentle tabla drums and unhurried
chords. It's horizontal and thoughtful - the sound of a lazy afternoon
somewhere on the Mediterranean coast, gazing at glistening seas
through the romantic lens flare in your sunglasses.

This EP is already great feedback from the DJ dons who have been
giving it early plays, so act now to snap up your first summer sounds
of 2020.

DJ Don Carlos (born Carlo Troja, from Varese-Italy) with his productions in the 90s has become one of the cult producers for DJs around the world.
His track Alone released in 1991 for Calypso (under the Irma Records label) was and still is one of the classics of House Music, played by all the major American and British DJs.
At the time of its publication it was considered an underground song and therefore did not sell very much, but over the years its myth has grown thanks to its subsequent productions as for example his second single, the EP entitled Mediterraneo, title which it will then inspired his first CD album printed in the USA with the same title.
Several other singles followed, another album, always printed only in the USA, entitled Aqua, from which a triple promo vinyl was extracted which today is one of the artist's most requested rarities.

Like all good Italo hits, it’s immensely layered, jam-packed full of elements from studios years yonder and falls distinctly on the right side of cheesy.

Amalgamating influences from religious Brasilian folk music, balearic, cosmic / downtempo and heavy percussive styles, Elevator Edit #7 encapsulates the ethos of London's Elevator East clubnight in just under seven minutes of no-holds-barred, heads-down eclectic chug. The project began in February 2018, having recently celebrated its second birthday, and has gained a reputation for inviting a heady mix of young new talent and underground legends to unique spaces in East London, as well as taking the Elevator crew to gigs across France, Italy and the Netherlands. 
Sitting deep in the Amazon jungle, Elevator Edit #7 is a capoeira invocation-turned-cosmic chugger from Elevator East man Mikey Sibson, encapsulating the ethos of the clubnight, Available for download on Bandcamp.

Hell Yeah's Marco has been busy trawling the internet for new talents during lockdown. The result is a series of digital releases which will be rolling out in the coming months, kicking off with a new EP from Kayroy. Kayroy is Finnian Langham, an artist from Melbourne, Australia, who in the last 12 months has released on Whiskey Disco and the basement, turning plenty of heads with his mature, sampladelic interpretations of funk, disco, house, boogie and soul. He got in touch with the label via email to ask for the vocal version of Giorgia Morandi's 'Children of the Sky'. "I couldn't find it," says Marco, "but after that, he sent me a bunch of tracks that make up this EP. To my ears, it is fast, funked-up boogie with heavy Italo disco influences, acid and breakbeat, making it a very fresh selection to my ears." Opener ‘Imagine’, produced with fellow Melbournite GREETINGS, is a glistening space disco cut with a sense of nostalgia rushing through its retro-future chords. It's filled with positive energy and gorgeous arps. 'Orbitale’ will get your butt wiggling with its sci-fi chord stabs and boogie bass. The whole thing shimmers and shines like a star in the night sky, filling you with warmth. The grown-up disco vibes continue on 'Galapagos' with its mellow acid bass, big stabs and kaleidoscopic arpeggios. The release is topped off with a remix of ‘Imagine’ from Dawn Again, taking you to an old school chill-out room with its dreamy chords and hazy breakbeats, sinking you deep into a post-rave comedown. This is a rich new EP from one of the fastest rising new names in the game
