Hailing from Zurich's thriving underground scene, Marcism is an artist made of groovy techno with a Detroit dub twist. Expect funk and housy grooves, pulsating basslines, and ethereal melodies that define his signature sound. In the heart of Zurich, Marcism imposes his unique musical vision by having a residency at the mythical label "Madkatz" where they throw some of most heated parties around. As a producer, he had some music released on "Introspective Rec." and "Valor" where he signed some quality EPs showcasing his style.

Meet Compass! They only started listening to techno since the beginning of last year, shortly after that, they attended their first rave. The thumping beats and vibrant energy immediately created a love for the techno scene that they couldn't possibly get rid of, a place where everyone comes for the same thing, good music. They are not new to making music because they played snare drum from their 7th till 17th, so they kind of grew up with a sense for rhythm which now comes in handy. However, it wasn't until June last year that they started DJing themselves. Since then, they have developed a love for good old groovy records from the 90's and early 2000's, but they also really appreciate the new stuff that's coming out. Their love for music doesn't stop at techno, though. They also have a deep appreciation for old hip-hop/rap, so it's no surprise if you hear a bit of ghetto throughout their sets. They are always seeking new sounds to mix into their sets and pushing the boundaries for themselves to keep getting better.

The Sound of the Berlin based Artist Strongrain combines a mix of oldschool influenced Hardtechno and modern Hardgrooves. For Groove Provider he steps back a little from harsh sounds, to some fast pacing nonstop grooves.

Edvvin’s productions can be classified as a combination of tribal and hardgroove techno but with a fresh and innovative perspective. He released music on such labels as Frenzy Recordings, Smile Sessions, ASW, Numerus Records, Rave Your soul, Deadline Records or Disintegrated and gained support from Artists like Sedef Adasi, Funk Assault, Antigone, Isaiah, Beau Didier, Daria Kolosova, Tafkamp, JKS and many more... His selection is full of high-energy, fast-paced grooves with tribal elements, funky stabs and vocals. So far he played in clubs such as: Smolna, Jasna, Crackhouse, Ulica Elektryków, CEL, Projekt Lab, K-Bar Powiśle, Czeska Sauna, Szpitalna 1, P23, Luzztro, Ciało, Transformator, Schron, STK47, Prozak and SIXA.

Interview with Hultgren:

A: What made you start DJing?
Q:Back in 2012, the first year of gymnasium, I had my first experiences with underground electronic music events which were pretty much abundant at that time in Malmö. Living in the small town of Ystad at the time with my family, it was almost routine to catch the last train of the night to Malmö and the first train home again most weekends. Just hoping the police wouldn't cancel our plans because that would mean we had 7 hours to kill without knowing people in Malmö.

Just being there and having amazing experiences with the music and people sparked an interest, especially in techno. Maybe two years later, my friend and I saved up for a setup: two CDJ-1000mk3 and a Pioneer mixer. So from that time until I moved to Malmö in 2019, I spent a lot of time in my parents' basement burning CDs, learning how to mix tracks, and also developing an understanding of different styles and modes in techno and what I liked.

TLTR; But I didn't DJ in front of people until my move to Malmö in 2019, and there it took off when getting to know Norm.

A: Describe your style in three words.
Q: Fluctuates through moods.

A:Your best set in 2023?
Q:Kenopsia OPEN AIR Vol.7 was for sure the most enjoyable set of the year for me. I felt so calm with myself and unbothered by any nerves whatsoever, knowing exactly what vibe I wanted to create, and people seemed to get down with it!

A: Your favorite track right now?

Q: I consume more downtempo stuff these days. "Sir Kenneth Ray - Silent Shooter (ft. Kamo)" is gangster AF!!

A: A track you never get tired of?
Q: "Kenny Alex - Wake Up (Drakpojken)." Gets me every time </333

A: Where can one find the best falafel in Malmö?
Q: I would not know, but Babylon has very good Halloumi rolls!

A: A Malmö DJ you want to highlight?
Q: Winola (!!) for just being so genuine and down-to-earth person but also as the super-talented (and youngggg) producer and DJ that she is! But also to those who DJ for the love of music and show respect for the core values of the culture. I don't really enjoy TikTok-techno personalities self-identifying as underground and then using that to be wack and look down upon others who don't fit that narrative.
