The theme is the end of quarantine, freedom, and new beginnings. This is our most important summer. We wanted to start with the tender energy of dawn out of a long dark night. The mid-set breakbeats represent breaking the chains of quarantine and isolation. Penultimately, Dubtribe's deeply ambivalent Do It Now still inspires a new beginning for us all, on its 20th anniversary. We hope this mix feels as liberating for you as it was for us to make. Perhaps, like birds at dawn.

Label boss M.in of My Favourite Freaks Music locked himself inside of his studio with all of the new analog synthesizers and drum computers. The achievement of this work is his new and forthcoming album „The Year Of The Ape“. But we have to wait until the release on July 01st 2016 to get a chance to listen to it. As a foretaste M.in delivered two tracks as an extraction for his fans which were done in collaboration with Pete Kaltenburg.

„Better You“ starts with an absolutely functional house groove, which runs through the whole track. 909 type beats go straight into your legs, while very loud and screaming noise sounds are for the hands-up moment. Typical vocal stabs, snare and clap rolls are the main features of this tool and loosen up the beat until ecstasy. An absolutely fabulous track with a big dancefloor character.

The next song „Reach Out“ is starting like it’s forerunner. House beats with a groove, which invites the people to dance. But this time a modulating trippy synthesizer line runs through the whole track, which gets broken by some very oldschool sounding vocals. 909 typical claps and snare drums are the main actor of this tune and burns down the house!

The third title is a Dosem remix of the EP track „Better You“. By comparison his interpretation sounds a bit more tech house. A screamy filtered synth melody is combined with a flying pad chord, which leads to a more dreamy version of the song. On the other hand the break down brings back a lot of energy, so it’s about to dance like a raver until we reach the climax!
