His deep-rooted passion for music has been a lifelong journey. From the early days, immersing himself in the sounds of iconic bands like Fleetwood Mac, Genesis, and Pink Floyd laid the foundation for an enduring love for music. 🪬

Mastering the art of mixing and blending tracks using vinyl became his expertise, a skill he has refined since the late eighties. The rise of Early Electro and the explosive acid house scene drew him into the vibrant world of UK rave culture from 1988 to 1993, attending monumental outdoor raves hosted by top promoters like Sunrise, Biology, and Fantazia. The newly opened orbital motorway, the M25, played a crucial role in the evolution of acid house raves during this period.🎚️

A familiar face at the Astoria Night Club in London, where Nicky Holloway curated the renowned club night 'The Trip,' he witnessed performances by illustrious DJs such as Andrew Weatherall, Carl Cox, Fabio & Grooverider, and DJ Hype. ⚙️ 🎼

While his musical taste spans various genres, his true devotion lies in anything electronic, with a particular focus on Deep House, Organic House, and Melodic vibes. Over the past three years, he has delved into music production under the pseudonym Lakota Rayn, creating tracks primarily in the Deep House and Organic House genres. 🎧🎵

As a resident DJ on Beach Radio every Friday at 7 pm UK time, his weekly show, 'Organica Sessions,' takes listeners on an immersive journey into the electronic music realm. Additionally, he curates the podcast 'Organica B2B Sessions,' inviting talented producers and DJs worldwide to share their musical creations. 🔊🌏

His mixes are characterized as deep and diverse, crafted to take listeners on an emotional journey through the intricate realms of sound. 🦾✨

Christina Gavrilova, aka Forty Cats, has made a significant impact on the global progressive house scene. She has been making music for 13 years, and DJing for 15. Christina’s first milestone came with the "Highway" debut EP on Lane 8's This Never Happened label in 2019. Two years later, Forty Cats made a dramatic shift in her sound direction. She has since released on progressive house labels like Sudbeat, Mango Alley, Soundgarden, and PlattenBank ,while gaining support from industry legends such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, D-Nox, Lane 8, Dowden, and Above & Beyond. For April 2024, Forty Cats will start her own label – PURRFECTION – and has already collaborated with artists such as KYOTTO, Ricky Ryan, EANP and others. 

Forty Cats tours globally, and has performed in Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Armenia, and Argentina. Christina continues to captivate her audience with new releases, compilations, and DJ sets, maintaining a strong presence in the progressive house and techno scene.

We are huge fans, and, of course, are over-the-moon that Christina accepted our invite to create our next guest mix, Institution 084: Forty Cats! We know you’ll love it as much as we do.

The countdown is drawing to a close as we approach the highly anticipated release of the year. Boris Brejcha's 9th album, "Level One," is set to drop on Fckng Serious on April 19, 2024. As we edge closer to this monumental release date, we're treated to a final sneak peek. This preview includes two tracks, "Terminal Zero" and "Atlantis," showcasing Boris Brejcha's signature style once again.

Boris himself describes his album as a captivating blend of familiar and nostalgic sounds, offering listeners a delightful journey through his artistic career. "Level One" encapsulates his entire musical journey, featuring a variety of songs that not only showcase his unmistakable style but also pay homage to his previous works.

The two new tracks, "Terminal Zero" and "Atlantis," are not only integral parts of Boris' set but also represent the fusion he aims to emphasize in his album. "Terminal Zero" reveals Boris's deep connection to high-tech minimal sounds beloved in clubs. Its driving bassline and classic Boris Brejcha elements make it suitable for both big festivals and intimate techno clubs. Madloch's 3rd Avenue label welcomes back Kebin Van Reeken from Buenos Aires, Argentina with the remix EP of "Euphoria," which was released last year. The title track has been given a remix treatment by Mattim, making his label debut. Hailing from Córdoba, Argentina, Mattim has recently released music on labels like Mango Alley, onedotsixtwo, and Juicebox Music. The second remix for "Euphoria" is by Yahra, who achieved a #1 spot on the Beatport Progressive Charts last year with his track "Lighty" on our label.

The track "Invisible" has been remixed by Brazilian producer Gorkiz, known for his releases on labels such as Toolroom, Clubsonica Records, Balkan Connection, and Stereo Productions. The final remix is delivered by Leandro Murua & ZAHNA, who are also familiar names within the Sound Avenue label group.

The year is 2024, and it was exactly 10 years ago, in 2014, that JANNOWITZ RECORDS began. Where Lars Kohl, aka BOHO, founded the label. Meanwhile, the label interacts internationally and has already achieved many successes. And with the "VOYEUR" Ep, he returns to the roots and the sexy minimal groove. Which he describes as "Gangster Techno". For this occasion, BOHO has invited one of his favourite Indie Dance artists, named: KIKO, for a remix. Get ready for a lot of fuego on the dance floor!

Clubsonica Records opens the spring season with a collaborative single from Golan Zocher and Juan Pablo Torrez. Born in Colombia but now calling Israel home, Golan Zocher has firmly etched his place in progressive house lore. Following a 2016 debut, the Tel Aviv resident quickly found his place amongst the genre's elite, earning play and support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J and Guy Mantzur. Releases via Mango Alley, Or Two Strangers, Plattenbank and Proton highlight what has been an eight-year creative swell for this elusive talent. Clubsonica has also been a regular landing spot for Golan, with four originals and two remixes recorded since making his label debut in 2017. Meanwhile, Colombian artist and Clubsonica label boss Juan Pablo Torrez has also compiled an impressive resume since first emerging in 2007. Mango Alley, Plattenbank, The Soundgarden, UV and more have served as landing spots for his progressive creations, while world class DJs Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have been steadfast supporters along the way. Also highly regarded as a DJ, Juan remains one of Colombia's premiere talents, sharing the stage with Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha, Matador, and more. Although both Golan and Juan have built a good portion of their discographies on successful collaborations, the duo have yet to work together. It seems only appropriate that Clubsonica be the home for the duo's first ever joint production entitled ‘Cosmic Resonance', alongside a remix from Mike Griego. 

Golan and Juan explore emotive progressive house sensibilities on their first joint production 'Cosmic Resonance'. Sleek and energetic throughout, it's a framework of punchy kick drums and undulating basslines which lay the foundation for rolling percussion and emerging atmospheres to unite, in turn creating a strong sense of flow. Hypnotizing arps and tension-inducing overlays take centrestage across the first act, with haunting atmospheres fully initializing the main break. Cosmic and emotive in equal measure, the interlude further solidifies the duo's dancefloor vision, melting down to a quiet calm where ghostly vocals and cinematic swells cleverly-coax, before the groove re-engages for a poignant finale of heartfelt chord changes and a haze of processed vocals.

The release concludes with Mike Griego. The Argentinean DJ and producer has carved out a unique place in the electronic underground. With a career that now approaches fifteen years and one hundred discography credits, Mike would have to be considered one of progressive music's elite artists, earning the praise of genre trendsetters Hernan Cattaneo, Lee Burridge and Nick Warren, among others. A meticulous discography reflects his choosy nature; with Replug, Sudbeat and Tale & Tone serving as the primary landing spots for his musical output. 2023 proved to be an impactful year for Mike, furthering his successes with the launch of his 'A Line In The Sand' imprint, a label which now not only serves as his primary home, but also offered up two of progressive music's most memorable releases of the year in 'Antidote' and 'Perfume'. Now Mike makes an impressive debut on Clubsonica with a stellar rendition of ‘Cosmic Resonance'. Opting for a dubbier, more groove-centric approach, Mike aims squarely at a deeper dancefloor, taking the track into cruising territory. Complete with tight kick drums and chunky basslines, it's a storyboard of intricate percussive layers, orbiting effects and gentle atmospheric progressions which make for an alluring hypnotism leading into the break. Here, Mike leans towards the emotional sensibility of the original, reworking the primary theme in elusive fashion, in turn creating an air of anticipation, before carefully building tension towards a finale that is equal parts emotive, mature and club-effective.

Clubsonica opens the month of May with a new collaborative project from Maze 28 and Rockka. Hailing from Albania, Mario Zefi aka Maze 28 has emerged as one of his country's most hotly tipped progressive house artists. In just three short years the Durres resident has earned support from genre tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while his melodic creations have found a home on Juicebox Music, RKP and Mango Alley, the latter of which operates as his primary home. Meanwhile, hailing from Sri Lanka, Rockka aka Lakith Adikaram has been releasing his own unique style of progressive music for the better part of three years. Although younger than most of his contemporaries, the Nugegoda resident impressed going forward, quickly landing projects with Balkan Connection, Droid9, Mango Alley and Yomo Records. Having previously collaborated on EP's for iNU and Mango Alley, Maze 28 and Rockka now add Clubsonica to their joint discography with ‘Mirage | Solid', alongside remixes from Juan Ibanez and Mauro Aguirre. 

Maze 28 and Rockka continue to showcase their growing creative synergy on selection one ‘Mirage'. Full of rejuvenating dancefloor energy, the cross-continental duo expertly blends robust kick drums and electric grooves with flashing percussion and crunchy effects. Deconstructed vocals and spiralling arps steal the air leading into the break, casting a darker monochrome over the journey, before an effects-laden build cues a rush of pyrotechnic synths and melodic alchemy. The companion piece ‘Solid' continues the duo's main room assault but with greater atmospheric depth, all while maintaining the darker tone set by its predecessor. Complete with ultrasonic qualities, it's an energy rush for ages, one where Maze 28 and Rockka's creative attitude shines, as roller coasters of undulating basslines, metallic melodies and astral effects unite for an exhilarating peak-time journey. 

The interpretation of ‘Mirage' is provided by Juan Ibanez. Support from world class DJ Hernan Cattaneo, along with releases for Freegrant Music, onedotsixtwo, Or Two Strangers and Nick Warren's The Soundgarden have etched Juan's place amongst progressive music's top talents. Now, following an appearance The Soundgarden's Winter Collection, Juan returns to Clubsonica with an inspired rendition of ‘Mirage'. Bringing a progressive state of mind, Juan carefully balances the themes from the original with his own melodic groove-centric sound. Timely effects and commanding drums steal the air atop thunderous beats, rippling grooves and evolving atmospheres; while a trance-inspired break seals what is the ultimate dance floor bomb to complement an already huge original. 

The release concludes with Mauro Aguirre for the interpretation of ‘Solid'. Clubsonica has been Mauro's primary home in recent years. With a recent debut on Balance Music getting 2024 underway in fine fashion, Mauro now returns to Clubsonica for his first solo remix of the year, taking ‘Solid' into his own world of melodic progressive house. Opting for a dubbier and more groove-centric approach, Mauro aims squarely at a peak-hour dancefloor here, with rolling rhythms and panning melodies creating a smooth yet energy inducing first act. Looking to bring greater emotional depth, poignant chord changes emerge across the main break, slowly rising against a backdrop of rich textural colour, before segueing into a hair-raising finale; one that's complete with muscular grooves and a fragmented take on the melody. A remix which is not only ideal for the astute connoisseur, but closes the release out as one of Mauro's most accomplished productions to date.

ecstacybar, Samey was born under the astral sign of Sagittarius at the late 70s winter on 12 Dec, in Mum, India. His induction Electromagnetic Music full on twilight...Sunrise / [Ecstacybar Records] From an early age Ed found himself drawn to mixing sounds (on an old four track), and the emerging Electronic music medium being developed in the 90’s, citing the Band ‘SKY’ as an early influence. By the early 2000 he started DJing, influenced by the early electro/scratch DJs’ and started looping breaks and beats from old rare groove tracks whist mixing into the new Electro sound. By the end of the 2004’ he moved up to Goa & south Thailand where he immersed himself into the Rave culture and free party scene. After several years of playing and promoting techno and acid sounds at events around the North West Ed discovered the Goa Trance sound. He teamed up start his own night Global Sunrise, which still runs to this day as Sunrise. Ed got recognition for his skills as a DJ and played across the global.
