Buenos Aires based multimedia artist Vic Bang paints vivid worlds with her music, where lively micro rhythms playfully interact in a colorful environment. She blessed us with a beautiful live recording of hers, where each sound blooms, sparkles, has a life and a trajectory of its own, moving freely through space and time in a lighthearted yet intricate way. Chirps, bleeps, zaps, squeaks &ampamp; dings gravitate around each other forming a mysterious choreography for the ears.
Le Frit takes over for the second half of the hour for a spontaneous &ampamp; bittersweet mix of microscopic folk, shimmering ambient and fizzling melodies. Including some recent musical discoveries &ampamp; releases, music by friends &ampamp; allover oopsyness.

Il y a toujours eu un piano à la maison. Mon oncle Pascal en jouait parfois, ma mère à de rares occasions. Moi je n'ai jamais "appris", mais j'écoutais, m'aventurais parfois à pianoter quelques notes… Ce que j'ai continué à faire jusqu'à aujourd'hui, écouter beaucoup, pianoter un peu. Il y a toujours un piano ici qui ne sert pas beaucoup, avec sous chaque touche cette sorte d'émotion latente, particulière, au potentiel immense, qui ne demande qu'à être activée par un toucher sensible. Et cela tout le monde en est capable, musicien-ne ou pas. D'où cette idée de faire un mix spécial Piano Day, avec un maximum de contributions originales enregistrées pour l'occasion. J'ai lancé des invitations à participer, trouvé un bon micro à prêter - merci Yvan! - et enregistré quelques beaux moments, la plupart improvisés (ou presque). Parmi les participant-e-s, il y a des ami-e-s dont la musique n'est pas forcément la pratique principale (ou le piano pas forcément l'instrument de prédilection) et d'autres que je ne connais pas mais dont la musique m'a touché lors de mes pérégrinations internautiques... Low Communication is the musical project of Bohdan Linchevskyi from Ukraine. Originally an ambient endeavor, it has evolved into a more elusive and genre-fluid expression. His work has been released by respected labels such as Byrd Out, Neotantra, and last year under our sublabel, EQ. 

In his latest release, “12 AM Not For Sleeping”, with EC Underground, the artist presents some of his most percussively intense work to date. Expect intricate drum breaks, spoken word fragments, raw textures, aggressive melodies, and, as always, a subtle ambient thread running beneath the surface. This release features a collection of six remixers from our roster: J-LOWER, Evry, Eden Grey, DJ Track, Aderacid, and LAMEBOT.

We are proud to introduce "Only Way Out Is Thru," the latest release from Miami’s trailblazing electronic music producer and DJ, LAMEBOT.

This EP marks the artist’s first official release under our label, although his presence has been felt through electrifying live performances and collaborative remix projects, including his recent work with Ukrainian talent, Low Communication.
