After several teases, it's finally time to unveil my new release: Elemental!

It's an 8-track LP coming in at roughly 40 minutes long, coming out on itunes, amazon, bandcamp, etc on July 9th.

A continuation of the funk elements from 3-1 along with some new and old tricks, this was a long time coming and a lot of fun to make.

I will be posting additional full length tracks as well as a free download in the coming 2 weeks, so be sure to check back in!

SMYAH: This is my fourth album. I decided to name it Liminal Spaces because of its dream-like atmosphere. Liminal spaces are the uncertain transitions between where you've been and where you're going physically, emotionally, or metaphorically, which reflects the times of creating this project. I feel that Veronika's visuals bring the feeling of magical realism and make earthly places look outer worldly which really fits the idea of the music.

SMYAH - We Light the Way feat. Dead Man's Hat

This tune was made for the video "How to launch like a boss" by AV-OG-TIL a Norwegian NGO, working to reduce the harmful effects of alcohol. The aim is to raise awareness around the dangers of intoxication while operating a boat, driving a car, when pregnant or together with children. Boating is an art form best practiced sober.
