FORGET YOU is an updated rework of VI by MUSUMECI (with friendly permission from the artist) which has become a secret weapon for Solomun. Both tracks were world premiered by Pete Tong at BBC Radio 1. With an upcoming record on Diynamic, a remix for Pete Tongs label FFRR and plenty of stuff in the pipeline you will surely hear much more from SevenDoors in the future.

Hot on the heels of the monster release of “Mutter” on Gerd Janson’s Running Back, Konstantin Sibold has delivered an acid remix for the Danish experimental pop band WhoMadeWho.

The original song, an infectious 3-minute pop ballad has been mutated and stretched out into a pulsating acid track, aimed squarely at the dancefloor. Tomas Høffding’s vocals sit proudly over a thumping kick drum and result in 7 minutes of potent, almost ominous club music that sits resolutely at the low end of the pH scale.

Munich Based Julian Wassermann glides in between his usual areas of musical dexterity, blending Deep Techno and Electronica into a souring four-tracker.

First of the lot, Sol, offers up a fluid melody dotted with acidic synths. Evident from the get go, the track bears a clear cinematic underpinning, a common mark throughout the entire release. All elements are geared towards elevating the overall experience, resulting in a highly emotive and captivating piece.

Hazy atmosphere is the main theme in Lyra, a towering tech house exploration featuring misty vocals and zippy synths. It’s a construction that sustains a light headed tension, equally immersive and spellbinding thanks to the airy vocal chops.

Lofty moods meet fiendish ambiance in Sirius, a whirlwinding cut fit for late night antics. Evoking a surreal, dungeon-like setting seems to come easy to the artist, who balances out light and obscure on the entirety of the EP.

Argon is not just a noble gas, but in this case a high strung slice of techno, powering through with arrays of metallic synths and an upbeat melody. Edgy elements combine with arching synths and snappy bites, building up a perfect dancefloor weapon to round the release off in style.

Markantonios label AnalyticTrail is devoted to techno, and the latest release features an EP from Greek artist Spiros Kaloumenos. Spiros Kaloumenos is one of the people who pioneered techno in Greece playing charismatic DJ sets that eventually lead to bookings in other parts of Europe. Having already become established as an international artist, he soon became known as much more than just a DJ, as his early productions where signed by Marco Bailey to his label MB Elektronics in 2002. MB Elektronics became the spring board for Spiros' own productions and his decade spanning impressive back catalogue now includes releases on Respekt, Phobiq, Pornographic, Planet Rhythm, Naked Lunch and FLASH Recordings. A core part of the AnalyticTrail family, this dark and driving release is Spiros Kaloumenos' third EP for the label.
