The song originally had the "tape finish" sound but not the "tape start". It made sense to put it in.

Sound effects are slowly introduced as percussion. This is mostly sounds from the flying turrets

The "ting" here is from purchasing a plasmid from the Gatherer's Garden

This song was going to have dialogue throughout as I was influenced by The Sunscreen Song by Baz Luhrman. But I learnt the song works better without audio cluttering it so kept it only for the intro and outro

A "clang" sound is introduced here. This is the sound of Jack catching the plasmid that Tenenbaum throws to him to grant him the ability to save the little sisters

"Only Man" is a BioShock remix album, taking sound, voices and music from the game and splicing them together to create individual tracks, each with their own distinct theme that only scratching the surface of this immensely deep and immersive world. 

There's a lot of Biblical references in BioShock, especially with Adam being gathered to gain powers and Eve for powering those abilities. But also I felt and Andrew Ryan and Frank Fontaine are like two sons born as a result of this, hence the title. The track is themed on the history of Rapture and it's gradual construction with the grand yet flawed and fatal ideals.
